Jamie's POV
I reluctantly make my way to the football field. Plopping myself on the bleachers, I look to try and see Chloe.
I quickly spot her and wave. She sees me but just looks away. I guess she is still mad about this morning. I was acting like a jerk, but I couldnt help it! How was i supposed to act when she decides to do something crazy?
Just then Luke walks up and plants himself next to me.
Are you kidding me? He has to sit next to me?
"Hey Jamie." he says casually. I grunt in response. Not only was this field bringing up memories of yesterday but now he is actually sitting next to me.
Why does this bother me do much? What's wrong with me?
"What's up with you man? Is little Jamie feeling okay?" he talks to me like a baby and pinches my cheeks.
Oh god. My heart starts to beat and my stomach fills with butterflies. My cheeks tingle where his fingers are placed.
Even though it was only a second or two, it managed to get me all flustered. He removes his hands from my face and I flip my hair, out of nervousness.
"Seriously Jamie. What's up?"
"It's nothing. I'm just worried that Chloe might not make it." I lie.
"Oh, I know right. She's got the skill. I just hope they'll take her." he says.
"Ya. I hope so too." I mumble even though I don't mean it.

Chloe's POV
I tape my number over my tank top and grab a pair of pom poms. There are probably 50 girls beside me waiting for their chance to try out.
I'm freaking out right now. My knees are shaking and I'm about to back out but someone calls for us.
"Girls! Make sure you grab a pair of pom poms! Now line up!" I hear a voice yell.
I run out onto the field and line up as instructed. I'm in the 2nd row a few people from the left. We are all facing the bleachers. I look up and see Jamie waving. I roll my eyes and look away.
What an asshole. He yells at me and acts like he doesn't care about me, then decides to show up and pretend to support me. I cant belive him.
I push my angry thought away and try to focus on the try outs.
A tall blonde girl walks back and forth infront of us. I'd recognize her anywhere. It's Megan, otherwise known as my arch enemy. She makes it her life goal to beat me in every possible thing.
Her annoying voice rings loud and clear.
"Now ladies!" she shouts. "I will be demonstrating a few cheers. Then you will do it with me. If one of the other cheer team members calls your number, you are out. You will step aside and are free to leave."
Oh shoot. I dont know what my number is. I look down at the numver on my chest. 57.
"Ahemm! Pay attenion 57!" Megan yells, smirking at me.
I squint mt eyes at her, angrily, but she just walks down to the rest of the girls. God how I hate that girl.
She walks in between the rows a few more times explaning different mooves. Finally she makes her way to the front and turns to face us.
"I'm going to demonstrate one of our cheers and you will watch. After, we will go move by move to perfect it. Then you ladies will try it on your own. We will be watching and picking peoole to eliminate." She says loud enough for all of us to hear. Then flashes the fakest smile I've ever seen.
