Confused Love

Chapter 1

Chloe's POV

*beep beep beep*

I rolled over in my bed and hit the off button on my alarm clock. Today is the first day of my junior year. Part of me wanted to jump out of bed and get to school as soon as possible, but the other part of me wanted to sleep in like I normally do.

Slowly I got out of bed and went to the shower. After I washed off, I went to my closet and threw on a simple outfit.

I went into the bathroom and curled my normally wavy brown hair. After I was done my hair had perfect curls that bounced every time I moved. I grabbed my book bag and headed downstairs.

"Mom!" I looked around slowly. There was no sign of anyone so I grabbed the orange juice and poured myself a glass. I guess my mom had already left for work and my sis was at her before school day care place.

I looked at the time. 7:30. Plenty of time to walk to school. I put on my red converse and headed out the door.

I walked to the house next door and rang the doorbell. Jamie opened the door.

"Hey Chlo!"

"Hey" I said back and gave him a hug. "Are you ready for this year?"

"I sure am!" He shouted, punching the the air with his fists.

"Shhhh, you're always so loud. And you know I'm not a morning person." I looked at him angrily.

" Well, this is my way if waking you up." He smiled teasingly at me and turned to close the door. We walked across his lawn and onto the sidewalk. "Are you excited to see Luke?"

"Yeah. He texted me a couple times over the summer but I haven't seen him since May. He said that his parents made him go on a stupid vacation with them for the summer." I sighed. I missed seeing Luke. He is the best friend I could have besides Jamie, and I'm so excited to see him again.

"At least we are going to see him soon." Jamie said and gave me a reassuring smile. It made me feel better.

"Hey you want to know something funny though?" I nodded my head. "He told me that this year he is going to try out for the football team."

I looked at Jamie in shock. "He really said that?"

"Yep"

I started laughing hysterically. Luke and football team just don't mix. I'm not teasing Luke or anything but he isn't very athletic and it doesn't help that he is as thin as a stick. I kept laughing until I eventually calmed myself down and looked at Jamie. He was laughing too.

"Hey, don't be laughing at Luke, cuz your just as skinny." He frowned at me.

"Are you saying you don't think my body is sexy?" He asked, striking a pose.

"No, your body is incredible sexy and it's the highlight of my everyday." I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Whatever." he said and softly punched me in the arm. He looked at his watch. "We should probably walk a little faster if we want to make it to school early enough to see Luke." he said. "You know what that means!!!" he yelled. He grabbed my arm tightly and started running. "Turbo speed!!" Ugh, I hate when he does turbo speed. Suddenly he takes off running down the sidewalk. And I was half pulled half dragged all the way to school.
