As Trevor pulls into the drive my happiness disappears and is replaced by worry. He smiles, waves and mouthes 'are you ok?'. I don't answer and he climb's out of the car. He closes the car door and locks it then comes into our beautiful home. "Hi Harmony doodle! You enjoying those cookies?" he says as she climbs down and looks up at him. she nods then runs upstairs with her arms full with a ton of cookies. He laughs and turns to look at me as he doesn't hear my familiar laugh in unison with his. I stare at him as my chin wobbles then burst into tears. He takes me in his arms and whispers "whats wrong baby girl?"He says as i lean on his chest. I again don't answer, so being the great husband he is, (and stealing a cookie on the way) he raps a soft cream cashmere blanket round me, sits me on the lounge sofa, makes us some hot coffee and then sits down next to me and strokes my hair. I have now calmed down as i bite into one of my cookies after dipping it in my coffee. "So..." he says, "So..." i say. "Before you say anything i have a surprise for you." He says and places down his drink, jumps off the sofa and runs out the front door after opening it. I hear a puppy bark from outside and gasp as i realise and suddenly theres a tiny, what looks like a white labrador running up to me. "Surprise!" he shouts as he closes the door and walks back in. I smile exhaustedly. "He's a fully white german shepherd puppy and i know he looks like a labrador but thats just because he's young and his ears don't stick up yet." he says in a rush. "Babe this is great but....and Harmony'll love it but...." i sigh as Harmony runs into the room and squeals in delight as she sees the puppy. Soon they've bonded and they run upstairs together. Then i sigh and continue, "but...i'm pregnant." I say at last. He stares at me for ages. "Trevor, FOR GOODNESS SAKE SAY SOMETHING!" I shout at him. Then in two single strides across the room he lifts me off the sofa and we share an affectionate kiss. "Babe, this is great!" He moans into our kiss. "Really." I say into our kiss as fresh hot tears stream down my face. He pulls away from our kiss and smirks. "really..." and as he holds me in his arms i hug him and smile....He understood.

"Babe, sweetheart, even though i said i didn't i really do! And we can keep the puppy. Her names Karma. A sibling'll be great for Harmony! I love you! You're the best mum and don't doubt it!" i say and she cries happy tears into me.
