"Well that was a long day in the park." I thought as I walked home. The sun was high in the sky, making our shadows small. "But you're 10! You shouldn't be out alone!" You say. But I say,"I do what I want. Deal with it. Plus my mom knows I can take care of myself, soooo." Ring! Ring! "Hello?" "Hey Mary. It's Bri." "Ok?" "Where are you?! I called your mom and she said that you were at the park. BY YOURSELF!" "Yeah. I'm at the park by myself. Walkin' home now. Should be there in like, 5 minutes." I heard something slam into something else on the other side of the phone. "You ok?" I asked. "Yeah." "Ok then..." I said before I hung up. Then I continued walking.

Turing right, I glanced at the houses in my block. "Rick's house, Bri's house, Nikki's house, and lastly, my house." I said with a smile. I walked up to the door and rang the door bell. "You're back!" My mom said as she opened the door. I took a step "Yup." Jumping onto the couch, I removed my shoes and opening up my phone. "You hungry?" My mom asked as she walked to the kitchen. I glanced at her. "Just a glass of water." "Ok then." She walked into the kitchen, disappearing from my line of sight.
