Mary POV
As I was texting Bri, my mom called for my to go downstairs for breakfast. "Honey! It's time for breakfast!" She yelled. "I'm not 5 anymore! You don't have to call me honey!" I hollered back. I dropped my phone onto my bed and walked downstairs. "Here." I said. "Good. I have something for you." "But you said it was breakfast-" "It's food." "Oh.". I sat down and Mom brought something over from another room. "Here it is!" She smiled happily. I looked at the table and saw a plate of noodles. "Uh....it's noodles." I said blankly. "Yes, but it is very special!" "How?" I asked. "It's cooked by me! And not bought!" She replied. "Ok....." I said. "I 'm not really that hungry...." I was about to get up, the door rang. "Well, looks like I gotta go...."
I got out of my seat, seeing my mom shrug and walk back to the kitchen in the corner of my eye. I walked across the kitchen toward the door. I opened the door a little but and peeked through. A letter was on the ground. I walked outside and picked it up. "Uh..don't theses people know to put the mail in the MAILbox?!" I angrily muttered. I walked back inside and dropped the letter onto the table. I sat back on my chair and read the label. To:____ From:__._____. Hm. I can't even read what it says. Oh well. I decided to hold onto the letter for a while and dropped it in my room. I deposited the letter onto my desk and plopped onto my bed. I stared at the clock. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. It's 10 o'clock. Beep! Bri texted me. "Hey" I texted back. I won't bore you with out chats. Maybe we have a play date again...hmmmm...
