The Path of Four Magi

It has been a few days since you first met Titus. As the days went on, you two got even closer. Of course, he had to spend a lot of those days working as the magi and ruler of Leam, but you two still had time in which you spent hanging out as much as you could. Many of these days you both would just wander around the city, taking in the amazing atmosphere. The people you had meet here so far were all so friendly to you.

Three days ago, in his free time, Titus had taken you out to a garden near the gladiator stadium in hopes that you would enjoy it as much as he did. You walked around in awe at the beautiful looking and smelling assortment of flowers. You were enjoying the time in the garden, chatting with Titus when you saw the stadium in the distance. You had been intrigued by it, so you ran to go check it out.

Titus kept trying to warn you, saying that he didn't think you would like it but, nonetheless, didn't try to stop you when you insisted that you needed to see what was happening in there. You had heard all the cheering and yelling and had convinced yourself that this place was filled with a mystery, a mystery which you needed to solve.

Titus had reluctantly let you go in, and you were very surprised by what you saw. There at the bottom of the stadium was a man holding a sword fighting a large creature that was unknown to you. You were intrigued at the sharp moves the man made, and wanted to try them yourself, but you didn't want to look like some crazy person in front of all these people. Normally you wouldn't have cared, but you always needed to draw the least amount of attention to yourself in case of any of Barakat's men being around.

Titus had been afraid that you would freak out at the sight of what this place was, but you were doing fine so far. He was only worried about when you saw one of the two fighters die, or when you saw blood. To his surprise, when the man cut the creature pretty deep, your eyes widened, not with fear, but with excitement. You two spent the rest of the time together that day watching the gladiators fight.

Yesterday, you had been shown around where Titus lived by Muu Alexius, a fanalis that worked for Titus and the former magi, Scheherazade. He was very serious and stern, but he was still a very kind and caring man.

Today you were headed back there to hang out and play with Marga. You hadn't gotten to see her much since when you first met her, and apparently she had been bugging Titus to let her play with you. Titus was busy today, so you finally decided it was time to hang out with the adorable little girl.

When you arrived, you were greeted by the brownish orange hair colored girl, who had immediately come running up to you, caging your legs in a very tight hug. It was as if she had been waiting by the door for you to come. You just giggled at her actions and hugged her back in the process of picking her up. She was pretty big, but that still didn't stop you from trying to carry her. You probably looked really weird walking, because you were trying to balance both of your weight as you walked through the place. When you finally set her down, your arms felt dead. They looked, acted, and felt like a pair of soggy noodles. Well, at least I got a workout. You thought, trying to be positive.

You both played for a few hours, every once and a while switching between games, because they became boring after playing them for a little bit. At one point, you both went and grabbed some lunch because your stomachs started growling, making the both of you giggle.

Now it was time to go back to your hotel. You waved goodbye to everyone you passed in the house and then when you got to the door, you gave Marga a long and big hug, already missing the little girl.

"I promise that I'll see you again real soon," you said, to the girl as you walked back to your hotel, waving.

But in reality, you couldn't keep that promise, because with what was soon going to happen to you, you might never see her again.

Sorry for the really short chapter, I just didn't have a whole lot to write about in this chapter. I tried my best, but it didn't really work out exactly as I would have wanted. Oh well, it is what it is, we will all just have to deal with it I guess. Sorry, I didn't post this yesterday, but I completely forgot and when I remembered the WiFi wasn't working, so I ended up forgetting about it again until just now. Sorry! Anyways, onto working on the next chapters!

No! Not again! You thought that you had been safe, you thought that you could stay here longer, and as much as you would have loved too, fate just didn't seem to be on your side. But back to the problem at hand, what were you going to do. You didn't know how to get out of this situation. You knew you were on your own this time. That's when you remembered...
