*BOOM*
The first thunder sounded in the near distance. Dan covered his head with his duvet and started to shake and cry. Phil normally would rush to his room during a storm but Phil wasn't going to be back from the airport for another hour. Dan hated when this happened because he felt vulnerable and unsafe. He started to sob and rock back and forth clutching onto Phil's jumper as tight as he could. It smelled like him but it didn't compare to the real Phil. As Dan started to cry more and more as the storm got worse he heard his closed door bust open.
He uncovered his head cautiously to see what or who it was. He saw a breathless and soaked Phil, panting from running. "Ppphi-ll?" Dan said with a slight quiver. "Dan i ran all the way here from the airport as soon as i found out it would be thundering." Phil said catching his breath.
Another lighning bolt light the sky and was followed by the sound of thunder and Dan hid under the covers again. Phil rushed over to him and hugged him through the blankets. "Dan let me change my wet clothes to fresh ones and then ill keep you safe" he said kissing Dan's forehead. Dan nodded and snuggled deeper into the jumper. Phil got up and got into his green jumper and shorts. He lifted the duvet to snuggle with Dan and saw Dan squeezing onto his jumper that he hid from Dan because he would steal it all the time. "You big dork" Phil said smiling and getting under the cover to hug Dan tightly. "It's your fault you left" Dan said just as jokingly with a hint of shaking still. He let go of the Phil-less sweater on wrapped his arms around his Phil-ful Phil's jumper. He instantly felt 10 times better and smelt the warmth of Phil and heard Phil's heart beat, the heart beat that only beats for him. "I'll never leave you without checking the weather first okay?" Phil said laughing into Dan's hobbit hair. Dan nodded his head violently which made Phil giggle, yes giggle. Dan laughed with Phil and they snuggled closer together.
As the storm unwound, they enjoyed each others company and made up for all the missed cuddles over the course of a week. Dan ran his fingers through Phil's wet mob of hair. "Did you really run 10 miles just to get here for me?" Dan said looking into Phil's ocean blue eyes. "eh halfway... i started to then i went to a hotel and left my luggage there so i could run faster and then i called a taxi and ran up the stairs" he said laughing. "typical" Dan said laughing as well. They looked into eachothers eyes and leaned closer to eachother and kissed passionately. "I've missed the taste of your cherry chapstick" Phil said licking his lips smirking. Dan tried to hide a laugh but couldn't "Shut Up!" he said pushing Phil lightly in the arm.
"I love you, Danny" Phil said smiling at Dan
"I love you too, Philly" replied snuggling into Phil's shoulder.
