They don't know about us

Chapter 15

Annie's pov
I wake up and my ears immediately pop. We must be landing. Huh, I didn't even know I fell asleep. I look to my left to see Brennan sleeping as well. He stirs in his sleep and I give him a gentle kiss to wake him up. "Babe were landing" I whisper in his ear. He starts to wake up a little bit, so I kiss his cheek. He hums. "Hey princess" he smiles, his eyes still closed. He looks over to me and his smile grows. "You excited?" he asks. "Beyond excited" I respond. "Good, because trust me, you're going to love it" he smiles. The plane finally lands and we grab our bags, getting off. We meet Katie and Caleb and grab our bags before catching the bus to the resort. When we get to the resort, we get our keys to the two separate rooms and head into them. I walk in and I'm amazed. There's two beds, an amazing bathroom with a huge bathtub, and another room with a kitchen and a balcony. "Brennan this is amazing!" I exclaim. He comes up behind me and wraps hums arms around my waist. "Glad you like it princess" he says into my ear. It's only about 7:30am right now and the park doesn't open until 9:00. Brennan and I decide to go down and check out the pool. Luckily, there is an adults only pool and as of today, I'm officially and adult. Surprisingly, Brennan and I are the only ones at the pool and there is a privacy fence around it, how convenient. I smile and place my things down. I take off my cover up and decide to tan for a while. I put on some sunscreen and lay down in the chair. Brennan just sits there and watches me. He then gets bored and goes onto his phone. As soon as I'm done, I decide to get into the actual pool. "Do you want to get in with me Brennan?" I ask him. He sighs. "I thought you'd never ask" he laughs. We both jump in and splash each other. We're laughing hysterically and I can't control my laughter. We meet at the shallow end of the pool as the laughing dies down. He moves closer to me, placing his hands on my waist. My hands go around his neck, as always, and he leans in. But this time, the kiss is different. It's full of emotion, it's like he's been holding in something and he's finally letting it out. The kiss feels almost hungry as my back presses against the concrete edge of the pool. We continue to make out, my back being scratched by the rough material. Even though it hurts like crap, I'm only focused on Brennan. I feel like he's been hiding something, I want to know what. I don't even notice that Katie and Caleb walk in, I'm too caught up in the moment with Brennan. I only realize they're here when Katie exclaims, "Annie! You're bleeding!" I look behind me to find that my back is indeed bleeding. It isn't until that second that I feel the real pain start to come. I hiss in pain as Brennan realized what he's done. "Oh my gosh Annie, I'm so sorry, I was just so caught up in the moment and I didn't realize how hard I was going and I-" he rambled on. "It's okay Brennan, I'm fine" I fake a smile. "No you're not, I can tell. Let's get back to the room" he says, picking me up and carrying out of the pool. We barley make it out of the water when it's starts to sting. "Owwww" I whine. "Oh babe, I'm sorry. Here just lay down" he says, placing me on the chair. My stomach was on the towel so it didn't hurt my back.
Brennan's pov
I lay her down in the towel and take a good look at her back. It has multiple deep scratches and it's still bleeding a bit. I feel a wave of guilt wash over me. I've just been so stressed out lately and I guess I just took it out on her, I feel terrible. I take a spare towel and wet it, gently moving over the cuts. She moans again when the towel comes in contact with the cut skin. "I'm sorry princess, just hang tight" I say. I move out of the way so Katie can take over. Annie rolls her head to the other side so she's facing me. He face is full of pain. I grab her hand and intertwine our fingers. I lean up to her face and whisper into her ear, "I'm so sorry babe, it's my fault. Just squeeze my hand if anything hurts" "It's not your fault, I didn't stop you even though I had the ability to. Please just stay right here next to me" she says, hissing in pain after. I feel her hand clench around mine and I rub my thumb over her knuckles assuringly. "You'll be okay babe" I kiss her forehead. Katie's going to
school to be a doctor so she knows what she's doing. For some odd reason she has a first aid kit with her, but I'm not questioning that now. Katie finishes patching up Annie's back and we head back to the hotel rooms. I tell Annie that she should sit down and rest and she agrees. I bring her some water as she watches tv. I sit down next to her and wrap my arm around her. She turns her head up to me and I give her a quick peck. She tries to make the kiss last longer but I don't trust myself. "Annie, I'm sorry. You know what happened last time I tried to kiss you, I don't know if I can control myself. I'm sorry, I just don't trust myself" my voice cracks at the end as a tear rolls down my cheek. Annie's lifts my chin and kisses me. She pulls away, only for a minute to whisper, "Just take it easy" She then reconnects our lips, going very slowly but passionately. I fight my feelings of going full force on her and just take it slow. It feels nice, but I get impatient. I start kissing her faster and harder. I eventually accidentally grab her lower back, right where the cuts are, causing her to whimper. "Oh my gosh Annie, I'm so sorry. Crap I knew I couldn't trust myself anymore. I have too many emotions going on inside of me right now, I'm so sorry" I say, burying my face into the crook of her neck.

I start to kiss her neck, slowly moving upwards to her jawline. I push her back into the couch and kiss her passionately. She takes pressure off of her back and as I kiss her harder, there's a knock on the door. I curse under my breath.

I stand up and answer the door. I open the door to find Caleb and Katie. "Ready to leave for the park?" Katie asks excitedly. "We were kind of in the middle of something" I sigh, running my fingers through my hair. "Oh, well then good thing we came when we did, that's certainly not happening here" Caleb laughed. I call Annie, "Babe are you ready?" "Yeah, I'm coming" she calls back. We grab our stuff and head out the door.
