The Sunday, where I would do the excersise that I used to hate but enjoy now. Instead of a sport, I took it more of a relaxation in which I would hopefully be able to immerse myself in the water and forget all the troubles for that hour. After that water therapy, it was time to chiong- which meant to rush for. For what?
Of course, the upcoming Chinese New Year. So we went to Chinatown to buy goodies, more sweets , a continuation from yesterday and of course the traditional cookies. Our entire family has an adddiction for sweets along with the sweet tooth which we sort of pass down from a generation to the next. And we were off once again. CNY was after all my favourite celerbration of the year where we would get together as one huge family and prosper in the festive season. And prosper I think it's only applicable to the kids :). The read packets, the oranges were all symbols of the season's arrival.
When we arrived on the bustling streets, the sight of the goodies filled my mind. "Chiong ah !!!!" We all went crazy instantly, rushing for the favourite goodies where we would purchase. Mine was egg rolls . Oh, they were so crispy and sweet. I just loved it so much, not forgetting my candies.
The uncle's were giving away free samples , enticing us to buy. More and more, slowly by slowly, our hands soon had no more strength to carry. Finally or should I say thankfully, we managed to get out of Chinatown by 2. And our hands full. After the shopping of the goodies, we came back home to put our goodies down first because our arms really did feel like they needed a break. Badly. We came home at around 3 and to find ourselves working even harder.
Our relatives had came and we had to entertain. After the gestures, I was able to revise for the week's upcoming tests. Oh gosh, more tests. There was Chinese, Science and LA. No stop thinking about that, get back to work. I guess that is what happens when you have too much stress. The pile on my table decreased slowly by slowly and eventually, after 3 hours of work, I was done for the day. It just so happened to be that, when I finished all my revisionthe food was ready, the aroma of the curry was one of the first I smelled. It was one of my favorites cooked by my grandma.
Oh well, food was real good. My tummy was really pampered today. After dinner and sending off the relatives, we had to do the worst part of the CNY preparation part. Spring-cleaning, you should have guessed by now. I dreaded seeing the dust particles that would keep me sneezing and the dirt where my grandfather probably hid his treasures. Haven't I told you, I wasn't going back to at home during the CNY period as we were on a staycation and my dad , being the dad that he always is, the one who always wants things clean would make us to this. Urgghhhhhh.
Two hours, those made me suffer real bad. Whenever operation Clean up starts , there wouldn't be an end. Luckily it was Sunday, which meant I made the excuse of..... Sleeping early and I made it come through. We slept early that night at 10. Ok it wasn't that early but at least I didn't have to endure more of the cleaning up.My Sunday was like a 7/10 because of the food I got to enjoy so how was yours? How would you rate it?
