After an emotionally exhausting day, Drew and I walked back to his house.

My mind was busy with thoughts and emotions brought on by the day and I zoned out on the path in front of me.

"Hey." I stopped suddenly and tapped his arm.

He stopped and focused on me.
"Thank you. That meant everything to me." I said as genuinely as I could.

A pleased smile came across his face. "You are welcome."

A tinge of warmth spread over me as he smiled and I realized my feelings for him that I suppressed with anger were slowly starting to resurface. I felt guilty for liking him after all he had done to me, but I also felt guilty for wanting to not like him after all he had done for me.

We came up to the door to his house and he opened it.

"Are we going to need our own place?" I asked standing at the doorway.

He pulled me in. "This is our own place."

A smirk crept across his face.

"You mean-"

"Yes. I live here alone. Mom and my sisters live a few houses down." He said

I gasped and glared at him sarcastically. "You have this whole place to yourself, you spoiled little-"

He crashed his lips against mine and held a hand on the back of my waist. A feeling I had missed more than I remembered. My stomach fluttered as I kissed him back and ran my hands through his hair.

"I missed you." He pulled back between kisses. "Like this."

"Me too. Don't ever make me hate you again." I smirked and kissed him once more.

He giggled. "Oh I promise I won't."
I spun around and looked around the room.

"How would you like to go on a date?" He asked.

I turned back around to him.

"Our first date." He added giving me a small smile.
