Chris's P.o.V.

I was downstairs at the sliding doors in the back. It was beautiful. Everything I've always wanted. "Is it really, really mine mama?"

"Yeah. Baby it's yours. You deserve it Chris. " my mama started as she waved the keys in the air teasing me with them. "No irresponsible joy rides,no parties,no girls. Well maybe if she's nice and sweet. Here." she said as she gave me the keys. I already had my licence from driving school in Virginia. I'm applying for a job as soon as I can. I can't have my mama doing everything for me. I can't be dependent on her my whole life. She needs to have at least a chance of being happy for once.

"Wow! This is mine! My own Lamborghini! I said as I rubbed the red beauty and got inside to feel the seat's comfort. "Mama?"

"Yes?"

"I need to apply for a job mama. I see you struggle for everything already and I will not burden yu with this. You need to lose some responsibility so I can gain it. I'm about to be sixteen years old. If I was Jewish I'd be a man already. Please? "

"Okay Chris. I'm proud of you boy. If you keep it up you'll be a success." she said kissing my forehead and letting me leave. It was about 1 the afternoon when I stopped and realized I don't know anyone in this city. I had to get it started. I passed up this gas station to see a mostly empty park. Since it was so large it must have been rare for it to be empty. I decided to give my car a rest and rest myself. I'm not crazy. I didn't go far. Even though it's my first car I'm not that naive. I locked the doors and hid my keys. As I was sitting on the bench looking at my car with my hands behind my head smiling I thought, 'Thank you mama!' I couldn't ask for a better mother than her. The only reason I'm a mama's boy is because I didn't grow up with my dad at home. The typical story of a black father. When I'm grown and out the house, I will take care of my responsibilities. As a man. As I was thinking I heard some people arguing from behind. It sounded like...two, no... three girls. They were coming closer because I heard their footsteps and they were getting louder.

"Look another nigga at a bench. So typica- he looks fine girl. How about it Brooke? " said a brownskinned girl with her hair down her back. She was walking ahead of the other two.

"Daisya not now."once I heard that beautiful voice I had to turn around to see who she was. She was beautiful. Deep brown eyes, pink lips, light brown wavy hair she put into a bun. She had nice little curves. Oh my gosh. She was wearing Jordans. I was in love. Maybe not im love but I loved her style. I might have been lightskinned but she was mixed. On the verge of white. White and black. Thank God her parents made her. She must be Brooke. I knew I would be seeing her at school because there was only one school on our side of town. It felt good to say our side as if I was included. The other one, the girl that name started with a K, she looked like she was the closest to Brooke. Like they were best friends. The one in the front kept eying me down like she wanted something , but I was only interested in getting to know who this Brooke girl was. Surprisingly, the K girl and Brooke came and sat on either side of me.

"Hi I'm Brooke," she said as she put her hand out. I couldn't help but smile and say,

"My name's Christopher, Chris for short." What a pick up line. Get it together Chris.

"This is my friend Ka'Cee and Daisya's, where's Daisya?" she asked after pointing to her friend introducing her I felt hands go down my chest. I looked at them and didn't realize who's hands they were so I got up and swung around.

"I think I found, Daisya is it? "I said with an annoyed look on my face. It was clear that I was trying to talk to Brooke and she was throwing herself at me. That always was a turn off to me.

"Yes, it is," she said with a little smirk on her face. Ignoring what was going on Brooke started talking.

"How old are you Christopher? "

"I'm fifteen turning sixteen this school year. What about you," I starting as I saw the other two walking away. I know the Daisy girl didn't want to but thanks to Ka'Cee she did.

"Well I'm fifteen too. What school are you going to Chris? "

"A school called Chanson or something, "I didn't really pay attention to the school's name because I was looking at her.

She started giggling and I didn't know why.

"Did I miss something Brooke? " I admit I was confused like hell.

She slowly but surely stopped giggling and started talking. "How do you move here from Virginia and not know what school you're going to?"

"How did yo- "

"Your license plate and accent gave you away. Yes, I could tell it was yours. It's Chadston by the way. I could show you around Monday since we already had orientation. " it seemed like she said everything with a smile.

"I'd really like that,"

It was quiet for a couple of minutes and I didn't realize I was staring.

"Chris, Chris... CHRIS!"

"Huh? "Way to sound stupid Chris.

"Are you okay? " I swear I saw her smiling.

I decided to smile back. "I'm alright giggles."

She looked at me with a knowing face and smiled."Do I laugh that much to were my name needs to be giggles? "

"Brooke come on, " one of the girls called.

"Well it was nice meeting you Chris," with that she got up and so did I.

"It was more than nice meeting you Brooke,"

"Okay well b-"No I didn't kiss her. that would have been too forward. I gave her a friendly hug before she left to catch up with her friends. She smelled so good kind of like apples. Maybe, just maybe if I kept this up she could be my girl. She would be my girl . I hopped in my car and went home to my mama.

Daisya's P.o.V.

That boy Chris is fine. Seriously. We all might only be fifteen but he had a lot of boys beat in the fine category. He was feeling Brooke. I could tell. All of us but Brooke probably did. She is so naive. She can't handle a boy like him. He needs a girl like me. A woman like me. I'm all woman. Not a little girl like Brooke or Ka'Cee. She made me lose this chance with him by pulling me aside but I'll do my research. He's probably going to Chadston too. Ka'Cee kind of punked out of the plan earlier asking Brooke what she thought about boyfriends. Is the bitch gay, damn? When We set Brooke up with Johnothan Chris Will be with me. I know it.

"Come on Daisya! We're getting in the pool now!" Ka'Cee is really about to piss me off. We were supposed to be a team. I guess she really is Brooke's best friend.

"Okay! I'm coming , let me change, "I'm definitely going to do some things to her and Brooke. Just wait and see.

Brooke's P.o.V.

After Chris hugged me gently his smell of faint cologne stayed with me. It wasn't too strong either. I hated that. I liked his style. It was nice and so was he. Why did we sit down in the first place? It was something telling me to talk to him. I just had to. From the start I could see he was fine and apparently so did Daisya. I don't talk down on anyone but that was utterly unladylike. She didn't even know him. None of us did. I can't lie, I was looking forward to it - knowing him. He was polite, a gentleman. I saw the way he hesitated before We hugged. He thought about his actions before he made them. I liked that. My hope for a boyfriend might just be realistic after all.
