Chapter Thirteen: Broken Heart

Niall's POV:

"Happy birthday princess" I said hugging Mackenzie.

She looked so surprised. I almost think she forgot about her own birthday. Perrie, Eleanor and Danielle ran to her giving her hugs. The joy on Mackenzie's face was incredible. What made it even more incredible was the fact that I was the one who put this together. The lads came over to me, patting me on the back. I had lost sight of Mackenzie in the crowd of people, I didn't know everyone here but I didn't really care. I said hi to a few people I met and that's when I saw her. Tight pink dress, boobs falling out of her shirt. There's not a chance you could miss that platinum blond hair and the orange colored skin.

"Niall baby" Courtney said running over to me.

"Stop" I said pushing her away. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Carmen thought it was a good idea of I came. You know to make sure nothing happened" she winked.

"Hey Kayla" Mackenzie said walking over to us.

"Hey Mackenzie, happy birthday" Courtney said.

Courtney wrapped her snaky arms around Mackenzie, I was half scared she was going to strangle here right there. I was almost certain that I seen some of her tan come off on Mackenzie's skin.

"Anyway I was just heading to the kitchen, I'll leave you two to catch up. Nice seeing you again Kayla" she said before kissing my cheek and walking off.

"What did you tell her?" I asked.

"Hi I'm Kayla, your cousin" she hissed before walking off.

I sighed heavily as she disappeared into the crowd. I stormed through the crowd looking for the lads.

"Why is Courtney fucking here?" I snapped.

"I don't know she just showed up" Liam said.

"Watch her" I said before walking off.

I seen Mackenzie talking to a few people who I honestly didn't know, she seen me out of the corner of her eye and walked towards me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Thank you" she smiled.

"Anything for you" I said.

She kissed me. Right there. In front of everyone. No one really knows were kind of together. I don't think we even know if we're together. She pulled away as she heard people calling her name. She kissed me once more before walking away from me. She walked over towards Perrie and I eventually lost sight of her.

"Hey Niall!" I heard a high pitched voice say. I ignored her, hopefully she would leave me alone. "Hi Niall" she said.

She spun me around, trying to kiss me.

"What is your problem?" I said shoving her off me.

"We have to make everyone believe we're going out" she said.

"No we have to make Carmen believe that" I hissed.

Courtney came towards me once more and I pushed her away. She glared at me before walking off. I looked around the room and I noticed Perrie looking at me. Perrie started walking towards me and I knew this wasn't going to be a fun conversation.

"You have to tell her" Perrie said.

"I can't.." I said.

"Why not?"

"Carmen said I can't tell her, or else" I said.

"Or else what?" she snapped.

"I don't know" I said. She sighed heavily.
