~Flashback~
I ran around the park with James. He chased me cause I tickled him.
"Come here, you!" James said with his little voice.
"Catch me if you can!" I squealed.
He ran even faster towards me and hugged me.
"Let me go!" I shouted, giggling.
He let go of me and, "Just promise me you won't leave me," He whimpered.
I hug him and, "I promise."
~Flashback~
I cry at the thought of James. I miss him so much. I promised him that I'll never leave him but he's the one who left me. He auditioned for a band in Los Angeles. That was like, I don't know, a few years back. He found new friends there. He never called or sent me a text. I don't actually bother looking at my phone, waiting for a text or a call. He's in a band named Big Time Rush. Well, I don't want to lie, I'm a Rusher actually.
It's been like forever since I last met James. No, he's not my boyfriend. He's my best friend. Our parents are like siblings with each other. I'm actually happy seeing him in tv, over those loud screaming fans. He seems happy. I don't actually know if he still remembers me. I want to call but I bet he's not gonna answer cause he might be busy.
He's actually on tour right now. With Kendall, Logan and Carlos of course. They're coming back to San Diego and it's the last location. In a few weeks. I keep checking their official website cause I really want to meet James. I don't care if he doesn't see me in the crowd but I just want to see him for one more time.
"Kaitlyn?" Mom suddenly steps into my room. That's weird. She usually knocks.
I look at her, still crying. She quickly takes a seat next to me on my bed.
"Why are you crying?" She asks wiping off the tears.
"It's nothing," I breathe.
"Is it about James?" Mom crosses her arms.
I nod slowly and hug her. She strokes my hair softly, "I thought he was coming back here."
"He is."
"When?"
"In a few weeks, I guess."
"You're going?"
"Yes, I am."
"Fine. Get dressed. We're going to have dinner at your Grandma's house."
I sigh slowly and mom leaves. I take out a dress from my cupboard and put it on. I tie my hair in a ponytail and put on a pair of my Vans. I walk down the stairs and sit on the couch. Dad's reading the newspaper. He couldn't care less about me. He doesn't even bother asking how my day's going. And another thing, he drinks too much.
"Honey, are you going to my parent's house for dinner?" Mom asks dad as she grab the car keys.
He shakes his head and I roll my eyes. He never actually visits grandpa and grandma. That sucks. He's like the worst son in-law. Mom sighs and gets in the car and starts the car. I climb into the seat next to her.
"Why is dad like that?" I ask. I've been wanting to ask her this question.
"I don't know, sweetheart." She whispers, driving away.
