"Hey! Are you coming or not?" Flares's older sister, Breeze called out to her. "Yeah, yeah! Can you slow down a bit?" Flare replied in her squeaky voice. "Nuh-uh! Fly faster if you want to catch up to me!" Breeze yelled.
The two sister were flying around the clearing, the wind blowing harshly, making it hard to fly. Their oldest sister lay in the tall grass by their parents. The sisters were barley a year old, the three being only minutes apart. The two oldest always argue over who's oldest. But everyone knows that Cloud is the oldest. By two minutes.
Flare flapped her wings as hard as she could, fighting against the wind. Her sister had already landed on a tree, laughing at the struggle her sister is going through. Flare growled and clutched onto the nearest tree, huffing. She sighed and laid down on the big branch. Only to have is snap in half.
Flare fell to the ground with a little shriek. Breeze gasped and quickly flew down to help her sister. Cloud and their parents ran over to see what happened.
The tree was quite tall, and the branch she landed on was right at the top. So the fall was long and big. The fall was so sudden that Flare didn't have enough time to spread her wings and catch herself.
Flare slowly stood, scolding herself for not noticing how weak the branch was. Luckily nothing was broken or damaged. Her mother took her into her arms and inspected her for any wounds.
"You have to be more careful" Her mother scolded, her voice soft instead of hard. "Yeah I know Mother. I just wasn't paying attention. I'll be more careful next time"  Flare replied, sighing. She wiggled out of her mothers grasp and limped away.
Her mother sighed and walked towards the nest, laying down in her usual spot. A few moments later her mate came to lay beside her. She huffed and spread her wings before relaxing and laying her head on her paws. "What is wrong with that child" Her mother mumbled and shook her head, then added. "She ignores everybody, not caring to stay around". Her mother sighed once more, then closed her eyes. "

Hey, come on Flare! Play with us!" Cloud yelled, smirking. "Yeah! Please?" Breeze added, flapping her wings. Flare flew up into a tree, not caring about her sisters calling her. She didn't want to be apart of their games. Shes been hurt enough by them and by what happened.

She might be hurt now, but it's nothing compared to the mental pain in her future.
