A Dark Love

Chapter 10

Your POV

You woke up to a small shuffle from the other side of the bed and fluttered open your eyes. You saw Sebastian getting up. You sat up and he looked at you and said, "Aw you are up, I wanted to scare you just once more." You noticed that his eyes had started to glow and he was inching towards you ever so slightly. You started to back up and eventually hit the headboard and you closed your eyes, waiting for him. When you felt nothing you opened your eyes to see that Sebastian was no longer their. You closed your eyes and steadied your breath. You suddenly felt warm breath on your face. You quickly opened your eyes to see Sebastian's face. His eyes were glowing there demonic fuchsia and a couple of his teeth were replaced with razor sharp fangs. He brought his mouth to your neck and grazed it with his fangs. He gently nipped at the spot, not hard enough to draw blood. He leaned back and looked at you with a small devilish smirk on his face. He got off the bed and walked out of the room without making a single noise. After a few minutes you got up and walked to the bathroom and brushed your teeth and combed your hair. Afterwards you went to your wardrobe and picked out a f/c dress with black lace near the bottom and some black heels to go with it. You walked down to the kitchen and saw that Sebastian was frying eggs. You walked over to him and slapped his face as hard as you could. He turned to you with his hand held gently to his face and said, "What was that for?" You noticed that his voice sounded quiet and raspy. You then replied, "That was for scaring me this morning." You then saw a tear roll down his face. He then put a hand on your cheek and you took a cautious step back and then he let it fall back to his side. "I'm sorry," he said, his voice almost cracking. You softened your eyes and pulled him into an embrace and said, "I forgive you." After that you helped him finish making breakfast. Sebastian then said, "While I wake the young master I would like you to set the table, please." "Okay," you replied with a smile. You then set the table and afterwards made your way to the entrance hall. Before you even reached the door leading there, the door opened and hit you in the head. You fell down to the ground with a grunt and looked up to see Sebastian looking down at you with a major look of worry. He quickly kneeled down in front of you and put his hand behind your head and pulled you into a gentle embrace. He then said, "I'm so sorry, love I didn't know you were there." "It's fine," you replied even though your head was killing you at the moment. You pulled away and saw Ciel now sitting at the dining table looking at you both with amusement in his eyes. You also noticed that he was lightly chuckling behind a small hand. You glared at him and he apparently got the message because he immediately stopped. Sebastian stood up and offered you his hand, which you gladly took. He then led you into the kitchen and sat you down on a stool. "What are you doing?" You asked confused. He then replied, "Looking to see the damage I caused your head." You fell silent after that and felt his hand touch where the door had hit you and you flinched. "Does that hurt?" He asked as he removed his hand. "Yes," you replied quietly. "I think you will have a bump there for a few days but other than that you should be fine I think," he said. "Okay," you said and then got down from the stool, walked over to the cart full of food and strolled it into the dining room after Sebastian. You started to fix Ciel's tea while Sebastian set out the food. Ciel started to eat and then said, "Y/n are you and Sebastian together?" You served him his tea and answered, "Yes." The whole time looking at Sebastian. You quickly looked down at your feet when he smirked at you. "Sebastian, don't let this relationship get in between our contract," Ciel said with authority in his voice. Sebastian's smirk fell from his face and he replied, "I'm sorry young master, but a demon's mate always comes above the demon's contract." Ciel looked at Sebastian devastated and asked, "What do you mean by 'mate'?" "Y/n is my mate young master, like what you humans call 'soul mates'," he replied. Ciel looked really mad so you left the room with a frown on your face. Not because he was your 'mate' but because you thought Ciel wouldn't like you anymore since Sebastian would protect you over him. You suddenly heard something hit the front door. You walked over to it and saw a baby Raven on the ground. You noticed that it also had red eyes and kneeled down. You stuck your hand out and let it gently nudge your hand. You gently picked it up and noticed that it had broken it's wing. You gasped and ran up to your room while holding the small Raven in your hands. You placed it down on a towel you had on the sink in the bathroom. You then said, "Don't move." And went to your window, opened it, and grabbed a small twig from a branch of a tree that was near your window. You then set the twig down and reached under the sink and grabbed some bandages to wrap the wing and to hold the twig in place. After you wrapped the wing up you decided that you would keep the baby bird since you didn't have a pet and you had wanted one to keep you company. You picked up the bird in one hand and the towel in the other. You then placed the towel down on the nightstand next to your side of the bed and placed the bird on top of it. "Now what am I going to feed you?" You thought to yourself. You then said, "I'll go find you something in the kitchen." You then ran down to the kitchen and got a small container. You then got some nuts and crushed them up and put them into the small container. You then rushed upstairs and into your room and laid the container next to the Raven. It immediately saw what you had brought and trudged over to the container and started to eat the food slowly. You slowly touched it's back and dragged your fingers along its spine, gently petting it. It was soon finished eating and nuzzled into your hand with its head. You took your hand away and it went back to its bed and laid down on its stomach. You went to the bathroom and put the bandages up and washed your hands. You went back downstairs and into the dining room to see Sebastian washing the table with a cloth. When he noticed you were there he stopped and walked over to you and asked, " Where did you run off to?" You then said, "Well I walked past the front door and I heard something hit the door, so I decided to see what it was. It turned out to be a baby Raven with a broken wing, so I wrapped it's wing and am keeping it in our room on a towel beside our bed." Sebastian looked at you and asked, "Was there anything unusual about the bird?" "Well I noticed it's eyes were red like yours, why?" You said. "I think that that was a demon bird, " he answered. "What do you mean? Can I not keep it then?" You asked with concern. "No you can keep it. You see demon birds are just birds that purposely get themselves hurt and see if anybody will care enough to help them and the person that does becomes their 'master' or 'owner'. It will eventually be able to talk after it is healthy again and will most likely stay on your shoulder most of the time," he explained. "Oh well it's asleep now I think and I just fed it crushed up nuts, so I think it should be good for now, but I will have to get it something to drink water out of," you said. "Me and you can make a trip to London tomorrow to get that along with some meat that I have ordered," Sebastian said. "Awesome!" You exclaimed with a bright smile. Sebastian smiled and said, " I have never in my life met someone that has a heart as kind as yours." You blushed and said, "I try to be nice." Sebastian then swiftly picked you up and took you upstairs to your room and sat you down on your bed quietly as to not disturb the bird beside you. He sat down beside you and observed the Raven and said, "Yep, it's definitely a demon bird." The bird then moved and stood in front of the container with its food in it and tried to flap it's bandaged wing. Sebastian got the message and said, "I think it's wing is healed now, if I didn't mention it before they heal rather quickly." You then lowered your finger down and the bird jumped onto it and you started to undo the wrappings and take off the stick. When you were done it flew onto your shoulder and nuzzled your neck to show its thanks.

In the evening
You were now making dinner that consisted of a roast beef, baked potatoes, and spinach. You and Sebastian were placing the cooked goods on the table and serving Ciel's tea. Ciel soon noticed the Raven perched on your shoulder and asked, "Why is there a Raven on your shoulder?" "I found it at the front door and it's wing was broken and it turned out to be a demon bird so now it thinks of me as it's master and it will stay there until I say otherwise," you explained. Ciel glared at the Raven and asked, "Well what did you name it?" "I haven't decided yet," you replied in wonder. You then thought of the name Rabanus which was Latin for Raven. You decided that was what you were going to name him. "And it's not an it, it's a him," you said bossily. "Tch whatever," he said. After Ciel finished his dinner you cleared the table and pushed the cart back into the kitchen. Sebastian soon walked through the door and sat down the cleaning supplies that he had used to clean the dining room. Sebastian and you started to wash the dirty dishes and put them away. You then had a weird question that you wanted to ask Sebastian and you did. "What kind of demon are you?" You asked with a small smile. He paused for a second and answered, "A Raven, why?" You then said, "I was genuinely curious." After you were both done with the dishes you both walked upstairs to your room. Rabanus immediately jumped off of your shoulder and flew to his bed. You made sure that he had some food and gave him a few affectionate strokes to the wing. In return he flew to your shoulder and gently nibbled on your ear, then flew back to his bed. The whole time this was happening Sebastian was watching with a smile on his face knowing that the bird would always be with you even when he wasn't. You turned to him and asked, "What are you smiling about?" "Nothing of importance my dear." You could tell that he was lying but you let it slide. "I'm going to go shower real quick," you said. You started to walk to the bathroom but a pair of strong muscular arms wrap around your midsection. You looked behind you to find Sebastian holding you. You let out an annoyed sigh and said, "Will you please let go of me." "Fine," he replied with a sigh. He let go of you and left the room. You continued towards the bathroom and closed the door. You suddenly felt a cloth being held on your nose and mouth before everything became dark.
