Eight hours later

Mini and Meriah still ain't home , they get outta school at 4:05 and its 8:30. I know mini has softball practice , and Meriah has cheer but that ends at 5:30 so they should've been home at 6:00. Everybody's here , Even Cookie. But I keep tabs on them

"Pop were are they , they was supposed to come home right after school , an im hungry" said Hakeem.

"I'm sure the girls are on their way" said anika

We all sat in silence until we heard the door open

"Ayyeeee look at my dab" the girls sang loudly

"Aye get it aye hol up get it yaaaa" Meriah rapped as mini danced most likely

"We childish" said London as they laughed

"Mom dad , were home" said Meriah

I stood up and walked to the front door where my daughters stood.

"Hey my loves , where y'all been" I asked

"We went to the mall" said London

"You guys should've told me or your momma , we been worried sick" I said

"Sorry daddy there was these shoes that I saw that I wanted to get" said London

"Yea and I wanted some bras from pink" said Meriah.

I chuckled "y'all cmon were having a family dinner" I said

"Ohh thank God I'm starving" said Meriah

"You always hungry" said London.

"Shut up" Meriah said

We walked in the dining room and sat down

"Finally" said Hakeem picking up his fork

"You betta put that fork down and bow ya damn head , we finna say grace" said cookie

Hakeem sucked his teeth and the girls looked at cookie like she was crazy. Believe it or not they are defensive of their brothers and don't care who you are how old you are and what you look like , if you mess with their brothers they go smooth the hell off .

"An who are you" said Meriah

"Yea who are you" said London folding her arms and giving cookie a stank ass look

"Lil girl don't..." Said cookie until Meriah stopped her

"You don't even know me , shit don't get crunk with me" said Meriah

"Watch your mouth Meriah Rene" I said

"Ooohhhhhh" said Hakeem smiling

"I'm your mom" said cookie

The girls looked like they had seen a ghost .
