Chapter 14 •Chimera Pack•

Sam leaned against the wall. Watching Theo explained what was going on. That he was their alpha. It felt weird being back. Her partners would kill her. Sam was part werewolf and part Kitsuna. Kira was teaching her how to fight with a sword. Sam went up to Theo after everyone left to go home.
"You have lost it." She said "big time."
"No I didn't. You have no idea what is coming. We need to protect each other."
"And you aren't even an alpha. Neither am I. They thought I was but its because I am part Kitsuné she said
"I am going to bring someone to help us."
"Really?" She asked
"Yes."
"Trying to kill Scott or stealing his power. Not okay with me." She said "they are my friends. And sorry to say this but they come first. So if you keep making stupid choices and with holding stuff from me I will leave this pack. And I will leave you." She walked off.
"Where do you think you are going Samantha?"
"To Train with Kira." She replied.

Sam was breathing heavily. She had finished training with Kira. She found out that Scott wasn't doing to well since Theo tried to kill him. Lydia was in Eichen house. The pack was broken. And Kira was leaving with her mother so she herself could learn balance. Sam off to get some sleep, food and a shower. Not in that order. Sam jogged home. She noticed her parents weren't home. That was a good sign. She walked inside. Up to her room to take a shower. She stripped and got in. Showering when she finished she dried off and wrapped the towel on. She dressed, and left the house. Theo was waiting out side.
"Come to apologize?" She asked him
"Always. I'm sorry I tried to kill Scott" he said
"Liar" she said "and I figured out why the bite didn't work."
"Why?"
"My body was to weak." She said "it won't work if you're too weak."
"I see" he said
"Yeah."
"I need your help"
"With the what?"
"Getting a man named Deucalion he can help us"
"Ok" she said "how do you need my help?"

After the first beast attack Sam went to talk to Scott.
Sam saw Scott "Deucalion" she said "that's who Theo is looking for. You didn't hear it from me." She said "we can work with him." She said "he's close to finding him."

"thanks for the heads up" he said

"You and stiles need to make up. You two are weak apart. You need each other."

"He's upset with me" he said

"I have to go. Pack meeting." She said "Theo knows how to lead....with fear" she said tuning and leaving.

Sam was leaning against the wall listening to Theo. He and Hayden were going to look for another chimera. Cory was off with mason. Tracy was off doing what ever it is that tracy did. And the last guy was who knows where.
"Stay here" Theo told Sam "and watch him" he left with Hayden. Sam was not liking who Theo was becoming. He wanted power. Scott's power and the beasts power.
"I can tell you are not happy with Theo at the moment."
"And how can you tell that?"
"You clench your jaw and you try to keep yourself calm" he said
"He's being an idiot" she said "He's going to get himself killed."
"If he doesn't do things correctly"
"Do you know how to kill the beast?" Sam asked him
"Yes." He said "you have time to undo what the dread doctors have done to the teenager."
"We just need to find him." Sam said she knew Scott's plan. She knew Deucalion was in on this plan too. Theo didn't suspect a thing.

Theo set the jar of Garuda talons on the table in the pack house. He had betrayed Malia to get them from the desert wolf. He heard Sam coming. Her heart was racing.
"THEO RAEKEN!" She yelled shoving him down "you do not mess with my friends! You need to stop going about hurting the people I care about and stop making me choose. Who to stand behind" she told him "because the next time you do it. We are done. I will leave."
"I had to do it. We need to defeat the beast."
"Bullshit! There are other ways." She said "You are changing into someone different. If this is who you truly are then you have already lost me."
"I am tying to protect us." He said. "Everyone you care about. And people do have to get hurt for this to work." Hayden came up and put a hand on Sam's shoulder.
"Let's go outside. You need to cool down before you tear his throat out."
"Alright" Sam followed Hayden out.

"We are going to break Lydia out of Eichen house." Theo told them. He told them the plan. The plan did not include Sam or Hayden. Sam wanted to protest but she decided not too. She could get Hayden on their side and learn more from Deucalion. She watched them leave. They started talking to Deucalion. Hayden didn't seem to really trust him at first.
"Hayden it's not like he can do anything to us." She said
"You're right."
