Juliet's POV

"Jay!" Joey threw open the door and hugged me, "You're back in town!"

I laughed, "It's nice to see you, too."  Lindsey just had her baby so Alex and I were visiting her in the hospital.  Her name was Finch and apparently she wasn't doing very well.  They didn't know if she was going to make it or not.

"Congrats, you guys," I said to them, "What's the stats on the baby?"

"Same as it has been.  Still not breathing on her own.  Barely alive," Gerard said and gripped Lindsey's hand.  Shit.  I should not have asked that.  I searched my mind, trying to find a different subject.

"How long have you been in town?" Joey asked me.

"Just a few days," I told him, "Chicago was one of the last stops."  I'm glad to be home.  Although tour was a lot of fun, I did miss sleeping in my own bed.  And I love the house.

"Where is Jesse?  I'm surprised he didn't come."

"He went to a rehab camp for a day," Alex explained, "It's for teens with bad habits.  He'll be back tonight."

Getting Jesse to willingly go to that camp had been hard.  Alex first brought it up about a month ago and Jesse had flat out refused.  But after Jesse had been caught with cigarettes five times in a two week period, he and Alex had "a little talk" and Jesse started reconsider it.  It ran from 4-6 twice a week for two months.

"I want to pray," Hayden suddenly said.  Pray?  I'm not religious.  I know that Alex isn't either.

"None of us are religious," Gerard said.

"I am," Hayden said sternly, "I started praying at the orphanage that I'd find a family and it came true.  Maybe if I pray here, for the baby, it will come true."

"I don't remember praying at the orphanage when I was there-" Joey started.

"I know," Hayden said and dropped to her knees, "It was my my thing.  It was my escape."

Hayden put her hands together, closed her eyes, and bowed her head.  None of us said anything.  We let her have her moment.

"And now we wait."

Lindsey held Gerard's hand and sighed, "Maybe Hayden will cause a miracle."

"It's out of my hands now," Hayden informed us, "It's up to God now to give this baby the strength to fight for her life."

I don't really believe in God.  But this time I kind of hope that there was something or someone up there.  This family needs a miracle.

There was a knock at the door.  Joey went up and slowly answered it.  It was a doctor.  He came into the room.

"Well, Way family and friends, we have some bittersweet news.  The baby is breathing on her own and her health is starting to look up for the better."  Bright smiles lit up all around the room.

"However," He continued.  Oh shit.  There's a however, "We don't know how much longer she will be able to keep this health.  There's not much we can really do, but as soon as she recovers enough we'll let you guys hold her and discharge you guys.  Congratulations."

The room burst in celebration.  Finch is coming home.  God, I'm so happy for them.  Alex wrapped his arm around me.  They've got a new member of the family.  I hope this one is permanent.

"Family meeting!" Alex yelled and banged on my door, "Family meeting in the living room right now!"
