Declan's POV
I glare a Dr. Dickface (nice one I have to write that down) as he looks at a clipboard I hadn't noticed he was holding. "Ok," he says, scanning his dumb little clipboard, "You are all numbered from 001 to 016. Boys 001 through 008 will have dormitory number 101. I believe this means that this room will be shared by Brendan, Jack, Matthew and Raffin. Girls 001 through 008 will have dorm 102. That's Lindsay, Elizabeth, Jenna and Catherine. Dorm 103 will be occupied by boys 009 through 016, that is to say, William, Martin, Keb and Declan, and Dorm 104 will be for girls 009 through 016- Sophie, Rachel, Katherine and May. You all have half an hour to settle in, then you will head over to the outdoors training field. Ta!" With that, the tall man walks away. Excited chatter immediately spreads among the students, who soon start to file towards their respective dormitories. I look around for Keb and spot him talking to a blonde guy, much shorter than him, near the door marked 103. I make my way over to them and introduce myself. "Hey, I'm Declan! You must be... William?" He nods and smiles, "Nice to meet you, man. Keb was just telling me the funniest story about you-" "NO." Our conversation is interrupted by a voice behind us, as a shortish, dark haired kid storms past us into the room. "NO NO NO!" "What's his deal?" Keb asks. I shrug. "I'm guessing that's Martin?" "Yeah." says a girl's voice behind me. I turn around to see what looks like a female version of the angry kid. "Are you his-" "Sister. Twin sister." she finishes my sentence and smiles. "I'm Sophie." she holds out her hand and I shake it. "We should get going. We have twenty minutes." says Keb, and I follow him and William into our dorm. I examine the room. The walls are a light gray, and all the furniture is white. There isn't much- two bunk beds, a couple bedside tables and four modern looking drawers built into the walls. My roommates were putting their backpacks down, examining the drawers, and unpacking. I claim the bed above Keb's , before being startled as a noise comes from my bag. I stick my hand in and it closes around a small object- my phone. I take it out to see I've got a text message.
[Jenna: omg this sucks.] I answer it quickly-
[Declan: I know, right?
Declan: Do you think they're, like, monitoring our texts?
Jenna: oh shit.
Jenna: good point.
Jenna: anyway, see ya in like five mins.
Declan: See ya.]
I look up and realize Martin's gone. Judging from the thumping noises coming from the wall, I'm guessing he's throwing a tantrum in his sister's room. I decide to exit the room. Quite a few of our group of teens are in the hall, which I guess is now the common room. Keb follows me out, and we soon meet with Jenna, May and Cat. "Uh," Cat tries to break the ice, "So, where do you think the outdoors training field is?" "Outdoors." answers Jen in her usual smartass tone. "I think she's wondering how we are to get there, especially since we only have a couple minutes to do so." May speaks up. "Yeah." answers Cat. After briefly glancing around the room, she points towards a door "Let's wing it." Since no one objects, we all file out to find ourselves in a large open space not unlike the sports field at our school. Near the entrance is- you guessed it- Dr. Dickface! (I didn't even write that down I just remembered it! POW!)
((Author's note: Sorry it's so lame! The next one will be less lame I swear. Pinky promise. Cross my heart.))
