Skating Into Love

Familiar Laughter

Niall POV

The lads and I arrive at a skating rink in California to find something new to do. We walk into the rink and are instantly met with a cold breeze and our own music playing loudly. We walk around to find no one else around until we get closer to the ice. I look out onto the ice and see a girl probably my age skating around looking flawless. From what I saw of her face, she was beautiful. I had know more about her. What was her name? I needed to know everything about her.

"Hello? Earth to Niall." I looked to my left and saw Harry waving his hand in my face.

"What mate?" I replied back.

"What are you staring at?" He said back to me.

"The most beautiful girl ever." I said sounding in love. "I have to go see her and talk to her." I was completely hypnotized by this girl and I didn't even know her name. The other boys were laughing at something and I was clued in on it and began to laugh myself. Our music finally ended and we were still laughing at Louis's joke.

Kailia POV

I had just finished my free skate program when I heard laughing. Today I was by myself. My coach was on a short vacation so I decided to practice on my own. The laughing was getting closer and sounded very familiar. I saw 5 people walking towards me and recognized them as my favorite band One Direction. Okay Kailia don't freak out. I decided to skate around and act like I didn't see them. I decided to practice my jumps and landed each one perfectly. I stopped immediately when I heard applause. I whipped my head around and was met face to face with the 5 boys I idolize. I skated over to the stands and sat down.

"Um hi. You're One Direction." I said in shock. No shit Kailia they know who they are.

"Nice to meet you love!" Liam said smiling.

"Nice to meet you all. I'm Kailia Jackson. I know who you are." I replied back smiling and trying not to fangirl. I could see Niall trying not to make it obvious that he was staring at me. He must know I have a soft spot for him. Don't get me wrong, they're all sexy, it's just that I feel something different with Niall. I should probably say something seeing as they're staring at me.

"So what brings you boys to the rink?" Good question

"We needed something new to do on our day off." Zayn said smiling.

"Oh then you came to the right place! Welcome to my second home." I smiled at them.

"Are you training for something?" Louis asked me.

"The 2013 World Championships are coming up. I'm training hard for that to try and get a spot on the US Olympic team." I said still in awe that my idols were standing in front of me.

"Can you show us your routine?" Zayn asked.

I started getting nervous. "Um okay. Do you wanna see my short or freestyle routine?"

"Can we see both?" Niall asked me. Now they've got me nervous.

"I guess so. If one of you can press play when I give a thumbs up that would be great." I got back on the ice and skated to my starting position for my short program. I gave a thumbs up and Louis hit play. The music started and I began my program. I did my program flawlessly and finished to hear applause from the boys.

"That was amazing Kailia!" Niall said. He seemed to have enjoyed it the most. I'm hoping the other boys did as well.

"Thank you! Did everyone like it?" I asked nervously.

"Of course we did! You're amazing Kailia!" Liam said happily.

I laughed. "Thanks Liam! I just hope I place well. If not, there goes my Olympic dream."

"You'll do fine Kailia! We all have faith in you." Niall reassured.

"Thanks guys. You probably have to go though. You are huge superstars." I said sadly.

"Are you done practicing?" Louis asked.

"For today yeah. Why?" I asked questioningly.

"Come with us." He said back.

"Um yeah okay." I said skeptical.

"Don't be nervous. We don't bite." Zayn said noticing I was nervous.

"If you insist that I won't be a bother. Let me go change. Wait here." I grabbed my bag and went in to change. Okay Kailia. Don't freak out. They just want to hang out with you. I thought to myself. I walked back out to where the boys were and followed them onto their tour bus.
