Its about 10am in the morning. You are laying on the lounge heavily pregnant. Calum walks into the room and you stare at him. He walks over to give you a kiss and kisses your bump. You had contractions but you thought it was only Cramps By midday you are feeling very uncomfortable. Calum walks over to you gives you a massage around your lower back. You stand up to go to the toilet, you look down and there is blood dripping down your leg. You quickly change your undies and quickly put in a maternity pad and walk out to Calum and say " I think it's time". Calum quickly finishes his lunch and runs to get his shoes and car keys. You are grabbing your hospital bags and Calum is getting everything organized. "Calum, don't need to rush, my contractions are only 4 minutes apart. The baby waited 9months it can wait another few hours". You are attempting to put your shoes on but you just give up and say "Right, we're going to go barefoot". Calum locks the front door and you both walk out of the flat. Calum is holding your hand as you are both walking down hallways. You come across Ashton and Sara "It's time!" Calum says. Sara and Ashton run to their flat and to get ready. You finally reach the outside of the building. You put your stuff on the ground and head over to the passenger seat. Calum walks over to you and helps you into the Range Rover. You give him a kiss before he goes to put your stuff in the boot. He walks over and hops into the driver's seat. "Are you ready!?" Calum asks you. "Absolutely" you said back. "Lets go have a baby!" Calum said. Calum has one hand on the steering wheel and the other on holding your hand. You reach the hospital, Calum parks the car, quickly gets out from the driver's seat and runs over to your side and helps you out. You both walked into the hospital and sign in "Hello! Having a baby!? Whats your name" the nurse says. "jaymi hood" you say. "Uh yes! Follow me!" the nurse says. She takes you to your room and gives you your gown to wear. "Calum please help me?" you ask him as you're putting on your gown. Calum ties your gown up and helps you onto the bed. Your nurses start you on IV's and hook you up onto monitors. "You feeling pain?" the midwife asks "Not yet, the contractions are bearable at the moment" you say. Its now 4pm, your parent's arrive your mum walks over to you and kisses you and hugs you. "Calum, I remember when my wife was in hospital with Jaymi It's going to be a great experience" your Dad says. "I remember doing the same thing with you Jaymi. I love you darling" your Mum says. It is now 6pm. You are getting extremely uncomfortable. You can't eat. You are laying in the hospital bed, with a monitor on your belly tracking the baby's heart rate and your contractions. Calum is sitting in the seat next to you holding your hand. Calum's Mum and Dad show up and they brought you flowers. She walks over to you and kisses you on the forehead."How you feeling Jaymi?" She asks "I'm okay, In alot of pain though". Another few hours past. You are tensing up. You clench your fist and cry in pain due to contractions. Calum is holding your hand letting you know its okay. You put your head in the pillow and cry. Calum kisses your hand as your panting trying to over come the horrible pain. You're crying Calum's name and he hasn't left you at all. The boys come and walk in the greet you. Luke and Kaitlin bring flowers and Sara and Ashton bring flowers too. It's now 10pm, you were 4cm dilated. The Anesthesiologist comes in and asks "Would you like any pain relief Mrs. Hood?" "Um, yes! I would like an Epidural please". You sit up on your bed with Harry holding both your hands. The Anesthesiologist is sterilizing your back and she starts to put the epidural in. You are grabbing Calum's hands really hard. The epidural is in, and you finally get to relax abit. You lay back down and Calum has his hand on your head patting it. You aren't in pain anymore, you fall asleep. Everyone is still in the room sitting on lounges some were sleeping. You wake up as you feel something wet. "Calum" you say in a soft voice. "Calum" you repeat until he wakes up. Calum looks at you and you say "Can you see if my water broke". Calum gets up off the chair and walks over to you. He lifts up the sheet and sees water everywhere. "Yeah sweetie" he says. Your mom walks over to get the midwife. The midwife checks you and you are now 8cm's dilated. 2 more and you're ready to push. You are getting nervous now you are really anxious. The midwife walks back in and checks you, Ashton, Sara, Luke, Kaitlin, Michael, Mali-Koa, Calums Dad and your dad leave the delivery room and its just you, Calum and both your mums. It's 3am and you are 10cm dilated and you are ready to push. "Calum's and Jaymi's Mum would you like to hold her legs back for her?" the midwife asks. Calum and your mum hold your legs back while His mum is recording on Calum's video camera. "Okay Jaymi push when you have another contraction.... and go!" The midwife is counting to ten as you are pushing as hard as you can. Calum is supporting you by saying "You're doing it Jaymi! Baby is coming!". You are laying there tired and the baby isn't out "Please please come out!" you say. Its your last push. "Come on sweetheart you're doing great, the baby is coming!" you didn't know what you were having. Your baby is out and the Midwife is untangling the umbilical cord. "IT'S A GIRL!" the Midwife says! Both your mums are saying "It's a girl!" Calum and you are crying happy tears, Calum leans over to give you a kiss. "Calum did you want to cut the umbilical cord?" the Midwife asks. Calum was happy to oblige. The Midwife passes the baby to you while they are cleaning her with a towel. Luke was standing right outside the door and he heard the baby cry "Do you hear it.!" Luke says happily. You are still crying happy tears and so is Calum. Both your mums walk over to hug and congratulate you. Calum walks out of the room and everyone is waiting there. "It's a girl!" Calum happily says. The boys stand up to hug Calum. You are back in your room delivering the placenta. Your baby is getting weighed and cleaned up. You are laying on your bed relieved it was all over. Calum comes back in the room and gives you a kiss. Calum walks over to where your baby was. The midwife was putting a diaper on her and getting her footprints to put on the birth certificate. "What are you going to call her" the midwife asks. Calum looks over at you and you both smile at each other. "Emerson" Calum happily says. "Emerson nicole hood" The midwife looks at Calum and says "Thats a beautiful name". Emerson was in Calum's arms, she was wrapped up like a burrito and had a cute little beanie on. Calum couldn't stop smiling at her. Calum walks over to you and hands you Emerson. You hold her in your arms and smile at her, you have never seen anything so perfect. "I can't believe this came out on me" you say to Calum, he laughs at you and gives you a kiss. Photos were being taken of this moment."I love you Jaymi" Calum says. "I love you too Calum." Luke and Kaitlin walk in with heaps of gifts for you and baby. Luke holds Emerson and Calum says "You're the godfather Luke." Luke looks at Calum, hands the baby to Kaitlin and hugs Calum "Kaitlin, your the godmother" you say to her. Kaitlin looks down at her goddaughter and kisses her softly on the forehead. Later that day, Michael, Ashton, and Sara walk in to meet Emerson spoiling her. Michael holds Emerson and says "Hi Emerson Its uncle Michael and I love you!" His parents held Emerson and had photos, as well as your parents. Mali-koa holds Emerson and says "Hi Emerson It's Auntie Mali, Daddy's Sister! I'm going to spoil you rotten little girl!" Everyone had a hold and went home. Calum sleeps on the lounge next to your bed, you fall asleep and Emerson is right beside you in her bassinet.
