"General Diaz, we have commenced the attack on the Noonte moon Xenos just as you requested."
"Thank you Lieutenant."
General Brian Diaz was only following orders. The high council of Earth suggested the military lure out some of the Joltel by attacking one of their moons. The council needed to speak to the Joltel by sending out their spokesman to Xenos.
General Diaz thought the war between the Joltel and the humans was ridiculous. He knew that the Joltel could easily destroy them if all the regions joined each other. He has witnessed their technology firsthand. He had noticed that the Hydros region had the strongest navy he has ever encountered. The Solaris regions had the strongest "air force" in their star system. The Terrans had the strongest foot soldiers, while the Necros had the best black ops operatives. Luckily the Terrans and the Solaris decided to communicate with us and try to bring peace. The high council still didn't know whether to trust them or to continue our war with them. If it were up to Diaz, he would have made the alliance.
The control room's door suddenly opened, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Sir, the Terrans sent out reinforcements, just as planned," said his Lieutenant.
"Good. did they also send a politician?"
"Yes. Two as a matter of fact. They are sending a holographic feed to the council as we speak."
"Get me on the hologram now."
"But sir we are not cleared for-"
"I said now."
"Yes, sir." Lieutenant Madden said feeling uneasy at the way his commanding officer spoke to him. Lieutenant Madden started up the feed. The council was just about to begin the negotiation with the Terran politician.
"Everybody sit down," the councilman from the United Countries was the one who spoke,"It is now the year 3025 yet we remain at war with the Joltel species from the planet Noonte for over 40 of our years. several generations of our race have been attacked and are also attacking them. I in my opinion see no reason for more war between us. Why have our species been at war in the first place? This is a question I do not have the answer to. I know that the rest of the council does not agree with me for the mission to peace, yet they do not explain why they want war. Now let us begin this meeting."
Next spoke the man from the European continent. What he said next would probably be the thing to make the Terrans want to attack the humans. He had no fear though for he was already at the brink of war with the other councilmen that he spoke anyway. "I know that I had not always agreed with letting the Joltel reside at tranquility with us on our planet. i mean really we would let a dangerous species that could easily turn against us at anytime near our families. They could endanger our children. i know the Terrans mean peace, as do the Solaris, yet if we invite them into our homes don't you think this would welcome the Necrojolts or the Hydros here. I mean really doesn't it seem odd that the aforementioned isn't disrupting our meeting as we speak? They might be attacking our settlements on Raxus Aero?
"Think of it this way, if the Terrans and the Solaris have united to make peace then how do we know that the Hydros and the Necrojolts are doing the same, but instead of peace, they want to do all but. now another point I want to make is that the Solaris have incredible firearms. What if they get tired of us and then attack? That is why-"
"Sir I don't mean any form of disrespect but you are just basing your argument on a bunch of what-ifs," It was now the taller of the two Terran politicians."All I mean to say is that we gave you our word that we would not attack, did we not? well we did and I know not much of the human species but as of our species we take respect and honor seriously. That means hat when we say we will do something, we do it. i take it you are all familiar with this concept, yes?"
The councilman from North America nodded noting the deepness in the Terran's voice. "I think i need to say something," was what he heard. He looked around and discovered in the corner of the room there was a hologram of the general who lured the Terrans out was the one who spoke.
"i know that the decision about our two races are still being debated between ourselves, yet I don't quite understand why. the reason for this being, and i mean no offense to this, but how can you all be so idiotic to not make an alliance with them? I mean talking logically they can help us greatly with resources, army, and in technological advances. we could also do the same for them.
"In another argument if we ally ourselves with them and we remain at war with the other regions then we can still try talking to them. Really, am I the only one tired of this war? Really my father was a general before me and I made him a promise. That promise was to finish this war, not with weapons but the power of words. I didn't know what that meant at the time, but now i do."
"Enough talk, you were not cleared for this meeting. Now return to your post and speak nothing of this matter until further notice." said the United Country man.
As the hologram finished, Diaz asked himself if he got to any of them. It probably didn't matter. he returned to his cabin as he would need to get up early the next day to lead the raid on XL17 the Necrojolt settlement on Source 942 as it was referred as. It was the moon in the star system Andromeda. Originally, inhabited by the wolf like species that are now kept as companions by the Joltel.
