Jet and Crystal needed a place to hide. after the war things with security have gotten tight around their town. Everyone was supposed to be home 22:00 sharp military time, or 10 p.m. They were military brats. Jet had suggested that they both leave and escape the life of discipline. Crystal was his best friend and he didn't want to leave her behind. Luckily the martial arts teachers that they were assigned had taught them many things. They had been taught forms of ninjitsu, speed-fighting, kung fu, and regular army style fights.

They had also been taught stealth, patience, infiltry, sabotage, and many other skills. They would be using all their learned tricks against them. Jet learned back when he was 14 to never trust anyone too much. He knew this because a friend of his once turned against him. Jet would always look back on it.

However now was not not the time to be looking back, it was time to look forward and stop this damned war. The base he was at didn't want to take action in stopping the Joltelians from attacking anymore humans. He knew the only way to stop them was to either kill all of them, or ally himself with them. He wanted to chose the former ,but Crystal talked him out of it. If not for her, he would have killed the scum.

Well either way Jet needed to leave. He already stole important information from the drill sergeant at the base. No one knew about it but, if Drill Sergeant Cortes found out that the intel was stolen, he would know it was Jet.

Why did she have to come? She'll only slow me down. Man I can't let her get caught, 'cuz then we'll both-hey there's the fence. All we need to do is climb this building then jump over the it. "Let's climb."

"Easier said than done. It's a three story building. Plus there are search lights and our clothes don't blend in."

"I know, that's why we gotta move quick."

After what seemed like twenty minutes, the two teenagers reached the top. To reach the other side of the fence they would need to build up a small amount of momentum. Luckily, the roof was at a slant, so the two slid and then jumped. Once over they needed to roll so that way their momentum would go through their bodies so that they wouldn't get injured.

"I messed up my shoulder," whispered Jet. The reason was that he didn't initiate the role correctly. "Ok only three miles to the next town. We have clothes, snacks, and water. We also have a compass, and a map of the state. I think we can make it. All we need to do is get to the nearest space-port so that we could hitch a ride to Aurelius. Once we get there we look for my dad."

"Sounds simple enough."

"Alright let's go"
