I was just sitting in my room listening to music just like any other 14 year old would do. "Keagan Keagan Keagan Keagan!!" Justin, my best friend ever, yelled frantically as he ran into my room breathing heavily. I looked at him confused. "What?" I chuckled out. He took a deep breath that I'm sure was very well needed.

I bet he ran the whole way here. Not that I his house was very far from mine, it's only like 5 houses away. But who would want to sprint from there to my house and up stairs and everything? Okay I guess some people would but... anyways besides the point.

"You know how I put those videos of my performances from Stratford Idol on YouTube?" He said quickly. I nodded. "Yeah why?"

"Some guy named Scooter Braun watched them. He is a recording manager or something like that, I don't remember, but he liked them and now he wants to fly me out to the states to help me start a career!" He said excitedly.

I felt my heart crack. Moving to the states? I'll never see him again. I'll lose my best friend. What if he forgets me?

Keagan stop being so selfish. You should be happy for him. He's your best friend. Think about someone else for a change.

"Oh my gosh! No way!" I yelled as I bundled him into a hug.

Justin really is talented. He's gonna go far. I know it and I believe in him.

"Did you tell Ry and Chaz?" I asked him pulling out of the hug. They were our two other best friends. It was always me, Justin, Ryan, and Chaz. We always caused trouble. From getting kicked out of stores because we were too loud or obnoxious, to getting taken home by police officers because we were out past curfew, to lighting fore crackers in the middle of a dry field.

I'll tell you now, the fire cracker thing was a bad idea. Talk about a big fire!

Justin shook his head as a response to my question. "No I ran over here as soon as I found out to tell you so you could tell them with me." I smiled and nodded as I got up and put my converse on.

We walked over to Ryan's house being that it was closer than Chaz's and because I knew they were both over here.

Without knocking, we ran into Ryan's house and down to his room, eager to share the news.

"RYAN! CHAZ!" We yelled as we got into his room. "What?" They both said in unison, not taking their eyes away from the TV screen where they were currently playing the Xbox. I rolled my eyes and walked over to the Xbox and turned it off.

"What the hell!? Why'd you do that!?" "Keagan really?" I laughed. "What we have to tell you is a gazzilion times better than that game." I said seriously causing Chaz to laugh sarcastically. "Nothing is-" "Chaz shut up and listen to Justin!" He rolled his eyes and they both looked beside me at Justin.

"Okay so you guys know how I posted my performances from Stratford Idol on YouTube?" they both nodded at him to continue. "Well today my mom got a call from a guy named Scooter Braun. I guess he is some music producer or something, but he wants to be my manager and fly me out to the states to start a career for me!"

Both Ryan and Chaz's faces dropped. They just sat there for a while, maybe just taking it all in and letting it process for a second.

"No way bro! You're gonna be famous!" Ryan yelled which made Chaz snap out of his daze. "Are you kidding me? I'm gonna have a famous best friend! Dude that's amazing!" Chaz also yelled. "I know!" Justin yelled in excitement.

"When are you flying out?" I finally asked the question I've most wanted to know. The question that was eating me alive. How soon? Hopefully not too soon. Next week? Two weeks?

"Tomorrow!"
