Keagan's POV
"I remember."
My head shot up. "What?" I said quietly. A small smile formed on his face. "I remember you. Keagan I'm so sorry I broke my promise. I'm so sorry I forgot. I got a new phone and I guess the person that transferred my data forgot your contact. And I'm so sorry. I can't believe I ever forgot you."
I got up and quickly pulled him into a hug. "You really remember?" I asked into his chest. He pulled out of the hug and tilted my head up to him. "Yes." He said before crashing his lips onto mine. I kissed him back as soon as I got over the shock that it just happened.
I've always wanted to do that.
He pulled out of the kiss and smiled. "I've always wanted to do that." he said. I giggled. "Me too." he smiled and then pecked my lips one more time.
"What made you remember?" I asked curiously. "Ryan. he knocked some sense into me." He chuckled causing me to smile. I felt his hand grab mine and intertwine our fingers together.
"Remember when we went skateboarding in the rain that one time and Chaz's board slipped and he had to get stitches?" Justin asked. I laughed. "Yes. And we were all on the floor dying because he looked so stupid when he fell." Justin started to laugh.
"Remember in 7th grade history when Mrs. Parker sent us four to the principal's office because we were shouting across the classroom?" He laughed and nodded. "She was such a witch. But that class was the best. I can't believe we all got put in the same class." I nodded my head in agreement.
We sat there for another minute in a peaceful silence. "Keagan." I hummed him and turned to look at Justin in his gorgeous eyes. They were the perfect color and I couldn't look away from them.
"I love you."
My mouth slightly fell open. "Wh-what?" I stuttered out.
"I love you. I always have. Ever since we were little. But I was always too scared to tell you. You've always been my best friend. I can trust you with my life. You have always listened to all my problems. Hell you even never gave up on me when I," he took a deep breath. "Regrettably forgot you and broke our promise. You are perfect in every way. You're strong, gorgeous, hilarious. Your personality is amazing. You are one of a kind and that's why I love you."
The way he spoke and the words he said, I knew he was telling the truth. He wasn't just saying everything to say everything, he was saying it because he really meant it.
"Jay I-" "If you don't feel the same way I understand. I mean I did do something that really hurt you and, I just understand." He said sadly. I could see the hurt in his eyes. "Justin I love you too." Immediately, a giant smile formed on his face and his eyes sparkled in excitement.
"Really?" I giggled and nodded. "Yes really." he leaned in and crashed his lips onto mine.
This day might have started out as the worst day ever, but now, it was the best. I mean, who doesn't want to know that their best friend loves them more than just a friend? Exactly. I'm pretty sure everyone does. I've always liked Justin. But I didn't want to say anything because we were young and I didn't want to ruin our friendship. But look at us now.
I'm so lucky to be one of those people that actually got that blessing of having their best friend be something more. And I'm so glad that I did.
