Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Worst day ever!

It all started one morning, I woke up and saw that I had a missed call. Mom was out of town and she would never call me this early, and dad was at work where he can't use his phone. I heard people downstairs so I got dressed and headed downstairs. There stood my father, with three police officers. "OMG dad!!! What's going on?!" I said. My dad was crying, and let me tell you he never, ever cries. "DAD? What's wrong?!" I said. "It's your mother, she was in a car accident."WHAT?!" I said, but I don't remember anything after that because I must have fainted. I later woke up on my couch. "Dad? You home?" I said. No reply. I had this really horrible dream my mom was in a car accident, and my dad was telling me about it. Just then though my dad walks in with some luggage, "uhhhh dad where are you going?" I said. "We are going to London, your mother is at a hospital there." He said. "Nononononono!!!! That wasn't a dream?! Omg!" I said. "Amber honey calm down, pack a suitcase, our flight leaves in two hours." Dad said. As soon as my suitcase is packed, I hear a horn blare outside, that must be the taxi I think to myself. As I bring my luggage downstairs I can't hold back my tears, just thinking about my mother! I have no idea what happened. Or if she's even conscious. Dad an I get in the taxi and then were off to the airport. When we get to the airport we get to sit for awhile and wait for the plane. "Dad tell me everything! Is she okay?!" I ask. "All I know is she was in an accident, and she's in urgent care. That's all I know." He says. At which point he starts crying. I hug him and say it's going to be alright, not knowing in my head if its going to be alright or not.
