Chapter 13: The Rescue

Tristan's POV
    This happened to Ariel because of me. But why? Sofie's message said that her and Ariel always ruin everything. What did they do? What did I do? Sofie looked like she wanted to cry when I was talking about Ariel. I wonder why? God all of this is so confusing! When Sofie said she wanted to tag along, I was hesitant because I didn't want her getting hurt. If anything happens to her, I don't know how I'll ever survive. The way she smiles, the way she laughs, the way she- jeez Tristan you sound like such a girl!
    I let her come along with me and the others came too. When I said we were going with my bike, she looked like she was going to pee her self. She is so cute! She held onto to me like her life depended it on. Oh how I wish that was true. I'm turning into some sappy chick now! Great!
      When we finally got to the cottage, I saw Ariel tied up and then it all came back to me. This was because of me. I didn't see anyone there so I rushed to untie her, with Tyler helping me. The girls stood there as if they were on look out. Sofie just stood there with an expression of hurt? I wasn't sure but I was sure as heck that she wasn't happy. Why was she hurt though? Could it be Ariel? Or me?
      I picked up Ariel bridal style and Sofie looked like she was just stabbed a million times. Was she jealous? Nah she couldn't be, she was with Evan. That reminds me, I haven't seen Evan in such a long time. He didn't even stick around for the party. I walked to place Ariel in the car. I lay her across the back seat trying to see if she had any cuts on her arms, legs, or face. She was good but she was still unconscious. I look to see where everyone is, and I see Alina and Scarlett screaming for my help. I immediately get scared and start running back towards the cottage. There on the chair is my Sofie lying there unconscious. Katie stands in the corner with a smirk and there is a guy hovering over her. Tyler is trying to go to his baby cousin's rescue but he can't or she'll get hurt. They didn't see when I came in so I ran up to the guy throwing him on the floor. I immediately start punching him and Tyler comes and picks up Sofie. Katie tries to stop me but Alina stops her and slaps her repeatedly.
      I was taken up by punching this guy I didn't even realize who it was. His face was now covered in blood. How could he? Why? How could Evan do this to them? I didn't stop I kept punching him. He almost killed my Sofie, my love.
Wait my love? Did I love her?
    He blacked out on the floor and I stood up to find out why Katie and Evan did this. Katie was held by Alina and Scarlett was on the phone with the police. Sofie was still in the arms of Tyler while he tried to wake her up.
     "Why?" I shouted and Katie flinched.
      "I wanted you. I always wanted you but Sofie got in the way. Then Ariel got in the way. I did this all for you. I love you Tristan. I have since Middle School. I got Evan to help me because he liked Sofie but then he realized that he didn't because she was so b****y and conceited and after all he was my step-brother and he wanted to help me." She said with a smirk.
      "So you hurt Ariel and Sofie because you wanted me. That's low and let me make this clear to you. Sofie is not b****y or conceited! You are!" I screamed.
       "Tristan," I heard a soft whisper.
I looked up and saw Ariel standing at the door. She ran up to me, kissing me right on the lips. No this wasn't right. She then hugged me.
       "I heard everything, everything will be okay. Don't worry." She said but I wasn't at ease.
Alina and Scarlett were whispering something to Sofie who was crying. Sofie was awake! She was ok and she was awake. I wanted to run up to her and hug her but I had to take care of Ariel first.
The police came and took hold of Katie and they picked Evan off the floor. Tyler stood explaining everything to the cops. Then the paramedics came and checked Ariel and Sofie to see if they were injured. They were okay. Thank god, she was ok. Ariel was with me while Sofie was sobbing softly in the arms of Alina and Scarlett while Tyler was hugging all of them being the protective brother he is.
      I wanted to hug her, solve her problems, wipe her tears and kiss her. Kissing her soft lips at the party was amazing but I had to let go. She thought I was drunk and that was good. I needed that as my excuse to kiss her but at least she knew who got her the dress and she liked it.
     Tyler took Alina, Scarlett and Sofie back to Sofie's house while I took Ariel home. I drove her home and while she held onto me, it felt nothing like the way Sofie held onto me. I came to a stop and she hopped off my bike. She gave me a hug and went in for kiss.
     "I can't. I can't do this Ariel. I'm sorry,I know you like me but I like Sofie and nothing is going to change that." I felt bad that Ariel had to go through this but I had to do it.
     She looked hurt and like she was going to cry but instead she covered it up and said
    "It's okay Tristan."
She turned around and headed into her house. I waited until she went inside before heading home. Sofie I will find out what is happening between us! That was my goal now. Sofie!

Well that's that. In the upcoming chapters, there will be romantic moments between Tristan and Sofie. Yay this is the moment I was waiting for. However Ariel's drama isn't quite over.
