I woke up. Still in a bit of pain before realising I was in bed alone. I looked over and checked my phone. And almost fell out of my bed. It was 11 am. I was missing school. And Erica was no where to be seen. I got up out of bed as quickly as I could while still trying to not hurt myself. I shambled myself down the hall way and the stairs. The house was dead quiet. After making my way to the Lounge room and the kitchen. No one to be seen.

Eri: Hey Luca. Sorry we left you at home we knew you were in so much pain so we thought it might be better for you to get some rest. Love you. <3

I read the message twice trying to get some hidden meaning out of it. I don't know why. They wouldn't just leave me would they.

Luca: Hey yeah I just started walking around the house was about to head down to the games room. Well actually I'm here now. Still a bit of pain and slowly walking around but I'm fine. Love you to.

I hit send and looked around the games room. The pool table looked inviting. Though I was distracted when I heard a ding.

Erica: "Fuck I forgot to put it on silent."

Megan: "Damn it Erica you couldn't help yourself could you?"

Luca: "I didn't think you guys would leave me here."

Erica climbed out from under the pool table with Seth. While Megan and Nathan walked out from behind the stand alone double sided book shelves. Lachlan and Mitch walking out of the bath room.

Mitch: "Nah you have us there. We could never leave you behind. Especially since your still in pain."

Luca: "So why aren't we at school?"

Megan: "Well we talked about it last night. Erica was asking what we all thought and Lachlan thought it would be better to miss today for you to recover. Speaking of."

Seth walked over and knelt down. While Erica pushed me onto his back. Seth picked me up and made sure I was comfortable and he wasn't going to hurt me.

Seth: "All aboard the train to where ever the fuck I feel like going."

Megan: "The Lounge room."

Seth: "Looks like I don't get to decide where to go."

I chuckled to myself before he walked towards everyone. They had already left.

Seth: "How are you feeling buddy?"

Luca: "I feel ok. Could always be better."

Seth: "Yeah I know how hard they can hit. We shouldn't have let you go off with Erica on your own."

Luca: "It's ok we wouldn't have known they would come after us."

Seth: "Yeah I know but still."

We finally made our way to the lounge room where Seth lay me down on the couch before starting to make his way to the kitchen.

Seth: "You guys feeling hungry? It's a games day so I can make some tapas or finger food if we like?"

Nathan: "What's a tapas?"

Seth: "It's like a small platter of one bite food."

Lachlan: "That sounds good."

Mitch was about to give me a remote but I shook my head.

Luca: "I might just close my eyes for a bit."

He retracted his arm taking back the controller. I just lay down on a pillow and closed my eyes. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep.
