A Monstrous Ride-Chapter 8

We ran to the square to see everyone standing around the court house. Why isn't everyone taking cover? Then we saw it... Big red letters in the sky spelling,

                                                           "You shouldn't have done that"

We tried to warn everyone to get to safety but they were in some sort of trance. "These fudgeballs won't listen!" Ashley exclaimed. "What do we do!?" Jacob asked frantically. "We have to stop this before anyone gets hurt!" Jessica screamed to us. I pulled the cartridge out of my pocket and we debated on how to destroy it. "Wait..." Jacob halted. "How did BEN die again?" He asked. "He drowned." Sue answered. "Yes! So what if we drown the game!?" Jacob suggested. "Well.. If no ones got any better ideas. Let's try it!" Ashley led us to Cooper Lake.

There were ducks and geese and flowers everywhere. But it was quiet, all we could hear were the birds, wind and sirens. "Alright Sue here's your chance to redeem yourself." Jessica told her. "Alright mom I'll make ya proud." Sue responded grabbing the cartridge from my hand. Sue walked over to these bricks and picked one up, then she found some rope and headed back over to us. She tied the cartridge to the brick using the rope. Next she threw it in the lake. Then we waited, we heard the sirens go off. "The sirens are off! Lets go check on the people!" Jessica said. "How? The way we got here we jumped into the back of this guys truck!" Sue told her. "Hmmm...." We looked around for a while 'til we spotted a monster truck.... yup.... out of all of the vehicles there could've been.... there was a monster truck. "That!" Ashley shouted pointing at the truck. "That?" Jacob said questioning her. "Yeah! What's wrong with it?" "Well... Who's gonna drive it?" Jacob asked. "Duh!!!" Ashley said pointing at herself. "Me!!!" "Oh god...." Jacob wasn't so sure about this. Jessica, Sue and Ashley ran to the truck. I tried to run with them when Jacob pulled me by the sleeve. "You sure about this? "Jacob asked me. "Hey. Once Ashley has her mind on something it's hard to convince her to do the opposite." He didn't seem too thrilled about this. "Hey we'll be ok. Lets go!" I told him. "Alright! But if we die it's your fault!"

We made it with the others and jumped in the back seat. Sue already hotwired the truck (didn't know she could do that but ok cool!). Jacob fastened is seatbelt and held on to the door handle. "Just in-case I need to jump." He told me. "Do you even know how to drive!?" Jacob asked Ashley."Mmmmm nope! ^^" She responded with a kawaii face. "Oh no..."Jacob whispered." "Alright guys you ready!?" Ashley shouted. "YES!" We all answered except for Jacob who answered. "...no....."  "HERE WE GO!!!!!" We all screamed at the top of our lungs with excitement. I even think Jacob was actually starting to enjoy himself! "WOOOOO!!!!" We all screamed. "We're getting closer!!!! Sue yelled. We were almost at the square! No tornados and no hypnotized zombies. Even though everything seemed fine. We could tell our job wasn't finished just yet.
