"Why the hell would you do that!" Daisy yelled, heavily placing her cup down on the table. Once I had gotten home last night I fell straight asleep, my mind still a blurry mess.

But first thing in the morning I called Daisy, and here she was.

"I don't know, I don't know. I didn't mean to." I sighed, running my hands through my hair.

"Of course you didn't mean to! But it's too late to go back now." She exclaimed.

Nothing I could say came to me, and my head just fell on my folded arms. A hand gently laid on my shoulder and I felt a touch of relief.

"I know, I'm sorry. I was being overly harsh. Maybe it's not as bad as you think." Daisy reassured me. Yeah, sure. After me walking out on him after he told me his feelings, I'm sure it's not that bad.

"How?" I asked into my arm.

"Well, he could still come in today." She said, and I groaned with the thought of work today.

"Why in the world would he do that?" I rolled my eyes, even though she couldn't see.

"Maybe he wasn't hurt. He might understand you were surprised."

I stayed quiet when she said that. Would he have taken it that way? There was no way that I could think to respond in the moment, and now I might have ruined whatever feelings it was he had for me.

Of course, it was only infatuation. Which was also the case for me, how could I be in love with someone who I had just talked to for the first time a day ago? Absolutely insane. But maybe one day... no, no. I couldn't think that way. Planning too far ahead into the future could end terribly. For all I knew he could be a serial killer or something
crazy like that.

"What's wrong?" River asked, coming through the front door in a loud mess. I was surprised by him every time, forgetting that I gave him a spare key a whole back.

"She messed up her chances with...Cody?"

"Corey."

"Sorry," she laughed it off meekly, "She thinks that he messed up her chances with him because she left his apartment without saying anything yesterday."

"It's not just that." I groaned. River sat down, wrapping his arm around me in a feigned attempt to console me. I peered up just to see Daisy mouth I'll explain later to River, thanking her for not making me explain myself.

"There's no chance you ruined anything, Aur." He consoled, as if there had even been something to ruin. And now there never will be.

"How can you know that?" I mumbled into my arm.

"You're right, I don't. We'll just have to wait and see if he comes back today."

I finally turned 16 today it's lit guys🎉
