Luke
I pulled into the cement driveway of Amber's house.
I open the car door, and step out, walking to the front door, Hayden following behind me.
We walk into the house, and see Michael. I smile as he walks up to me and hugs me. We follow him into the living room, and Michael sits down next to Leeann on the large sofa.
Across the room is Amber laying down on the opposite sofa, asleep.
I look at Michael confused, and he laughs.
"She fell asleep. Leeann invited you guys, it's her and Amber's house." He says, and I nod.
Me and Hayden walk over to the couch beside Leeann and Michael, and sit down.
The movie Ted was playing, and I knew that Hayden didn't really like this movie at all, but I wasn't going to be rude and suggest we watch a different one.
Halfway through the movie Hayden fell asleep, probably from boredom.
I notice that Amber began to wake up, and she stretched her arms out, and then got up from the couch, and walked into the kitchen. I figured that this was my chance to figure out why she was at the hospital with me. I haven't seen her since the day I woke up, and I was determined to find out what happened.
I walk into the kitchen and see her fixing herself a glass of orange juice, and I clear my throat to catch her attention.
She turns around, and she bit her lip and looked at the ground.
I could tell she felt awkward around me.
"Amber, I'm not sure of who you are, and why you were at the hospital when I woke up. That's why I came in here. I want to find out what happened, why I was in the hospital, and why you were there waiting for me to wake up." I say, and after a few moments, she takes a deep breath.
"Luke. Me and you were a couple. For about 2 months. Not very long, but I was falling in love with you. Hayden was your girlfriend from high school, and you had not talked to her since you guys broke up in your junior year. She just came to the hospital one day, and held your hand and stuff, right in front of me, and said she was going to take you from me. I didn't know it would actually happen. Now, you were in the hospital because one day me, you, Leeann, and Michael had just woken up, you ran around the house ticking me, I fell and hit my face on the stairs, you laughed, and then I wanted to go get candy from the store. A car swerved into our lane, and then everything went black. I woke up in the hospital, with no injuries besides a few cuts and bruises, but you were in a coma. I spent every single day beside your hospital bed, waiting for you to wake up." She says, and a tear fell from her cheek.
I was shocked, to say the least.
This was my real girlfriend.
The broken girl in front of me, was my girlfriend. I couldn't remember any memories of us whatsoever. I just stared at my feet, in shock. I looked back up her, and smiled. She smiled back, and I pulled her in for a hug. She wrapped her arms tightly around my neck, and mine were around her waist.
Once I pulled away from the hug, I wiped the tear streaming down her right cheek.
"It's happy tears, trust me." She says, and I smile once again.
I know I don't remember her just yet, but I feel like the memories will soon come back.
