"Hi, this must be Max?" Mrs. Prom, Max's teacher, said.
"Yep, this is Max." Austin answered. "She's really excited to be here."
"I can tell." Mrs. Prom said as she looked over at Max who just ran away to play with other kids.
"If you could get her and take a seat that would be great."
Me and Austin went to get Max, then sat down in the mini chairs with Max on my lap.
"Welcome to Kindergarden!" Mrs. Prom said happily. "I'm very happy to have you all here today and everyday for the rest of the school year!"
(Blah blah blah, she talked for a while longer, then we went home)
When we got home there was a family moving in next door.
"Mummy! They have a little girl too!" Max said as she pointed at the family next door.
"Yeah they do! Wanna go meet them?" I asked. "Hey Austin, come with to meet the new family.
"Hi, I'm McKenna, this is my husband Austin and my daughter Ma-" I started to say to the wife/mom in the house next door. "Don't I know you?"
The mom/wife turned around to look at me and she started freaking out.
"OH MY GOD MCKENNA!!" The mom/wife yelled.
"WHO ARE YOU?!" I yelled back.
"DANI!! YOUR BEST FRIEND REMEMBER ME?!"
"OH MY GOD DANI!!"
"So who else is here?"
"Me, Alex, and our daughter Ryan."
"ALEX!" I heard Austin yell in the backyard.
"Looks like they just found out too!" Me, Dani, Max and Ryan all ran to the backyard where we all started freaking out.
"Hey guys, we should do something together." Alex suggested to us all.
"Like what?" Dani said.
"We're adults. We can do anything legal."
"Umm... How about me and Dani make dinner, the girls can play, and Alex and Austin can move stuff into the house." I said.
Everyone said that my idea was fine so Austin and Alex went to move stuff, me and Dani went to my house to cook because she has no food, and the girls played in a blow up pool that Dani bought.
"Dude, it's so cool that we live next to each other!" I said as we started cooking chicken.
"I know. I was so excited when I recognized you."
(After they were done cooking there was barbecue chicken, rice, and steamed vegetables.)
"FOODS DONE!!" Dani yelled from my front door.
Austin and Alex ran to the backyard to grab the girls and me and Dani set the table.
"This is so good Mummy!" Max yelled to me.
"Yeah!" Ryan agreed.
"What class is Ryan in?" I asked Alex and Dani.
"Homeschool." They answered together.
"We didn't want her to be bullied." Dani explained. "I mean, we didn't know if she would or not, but we didn't want to take chances."
"That's a really good idea." I said to Austin as I bumped his shoulder with mine.
