"Hey Max," I said as I walked to her room where she was coloring. "We got you signed up for homeschooling with Ryan!"
"Homeschool?" She asked me, confused.
"Yeah, instead of you going to school me and Daddy get to teach you!"
"With Ryan too?"
"Yep, we can start today if you'd like?"
"Okay! Lets go get Ryan!" Max jumped and and pulled me to the front door where I watched her go into Dani's house and get Ryan and Dani.
"Do you have homeschool stuff?" Dani whispered to me.
"Uhh.... No haha I didn't think of it I guess. Do you?" I answered.
"Yeah, get the girls."
I got the girls and we walked over to Dani's house, up her staircase and into a room that I connected to Ryan's room.
"This is where your gonna come everyday okay girls?" Dani said.
--- I'm gonna skip the whole schooling stuff because who wants to hear about school? ---
"That was fun mommy!" Max said as we walked to my kitchen.
"Yeah, you want a sandwich?" I asked her.
She said yes, so I made her a sandwich on wheat bread, with Turkey and Mickey Mouse shaped cheese.
"Hey babe, I think I heard someone at the door, could you go check?" Austin yelled from our bedroom.
I went to the door and opened it to see someone I didn't recognize. It was a woman standing there with her daughter.
"Oh, uh, hi. I'm McKenna. Are you a neighbor?" I asked.
The woman smiled at me and nodded. "Me, my husband and my daughter just moved in next door. Don't I know you?" She said.
"Awesome. I don't recognize you?"
"I'm Amber, we used to go to school together."
Amber? I asked myself. The one who set my house on fire and did everything to me?
"Well, Amber, have a not to nice life."
I started to close the door but she put her daughter in the doorway and I wasn't gonna hurt her, so I opened the door again.
"Mummy, who's this?" I heard Max ask from behind me.
"Nobody honey, why don't you go color in your room." I answered her.
"Can't we be friends now that were adults?" Amber asked me.
"What does being Adults have to do with our friendship? You ruined my life, I'm not talking to you." I said as I pushed her away and slammed the door, locking it just in case.
"McKenna? Who was that?" Austin asked as I was walking to the kitchen to clean up.
"Nobody." I answered, not wanting him to worry. But apparently it didn't work because he said:
"Tell me."
"It was Amber and her daughter, okay? I don't really wanna talk about it if that's fine." I said.
I turned around to hug Austin, but he was gone.
