Eglaneth

We stop at an outcropping of rocks to rest, but I feel unsafe. We know we are being followed. But by whom? What? Is it dangerous? I dare not think anyone else is here to help us.
As the hobbits and Elemmire settle down, I decide to take a look around. The uneasy feeling has grown. There does not seem to be anything where I am looking: leading to the conclusion that it is hiding; or at the camp.
Just as I think this, I hear a struggle at the camp. Honestly, Eglaneth, couldn't you have woken one of them to keep watch? I think to myself, racing back. I find a starved, grey creature that I somehow identify as Gollum looming dangerously over Elemmire, ready to strike. Frodo holds his sword to Gollum's throat, anger clear in his eyes.
"Release her or I'll cut your throat!" he threatens bravely. I grasp my swords. Gollum lets her go with a wail.

Sam ties a rope around Gollum's throat, much to the creature's dismay. Elemmire and I try to find any signs that we are going the right way.
"Maybe if we could get through the dead marshes......." I start.
"But we don't know how to get there." Elemmire says.
"It burns!' It burns us! It freezes! Take it off us!' Gollum screeches. The noise seems to echo all around the land. I mentally facepalm.
"Quiet you!" Sam retorts, voicing my own annoyance. "Its no use, every or in Mordor is going to hear this racket! Lets just tie him up and leave him!"
"NO! that would kill us! KILL US!"
"Its nothing more than you deserve!"
"Maybe he does deserve to die. But now that I see him, I do pity him." Frodo puts in.
"We'll be nice to it if it is nice to us! We swears to do anything you wants, we swears, just take it off us!"
"There's no promise you can make that we can trust." Elemmire says distrustfully.
"We swears on the precious! Yes, on the precious."
Well, there's one promise!
"The ring is treacherous, but it will hold you to your word." I say.
"NO! I don't believe you! Get down! Get Down!" Sam yells, running at Gollum, who backs up in fear. really, quite pathetic. And sad.
"Sam!" yells Elemmire.
"He's trying to trick us! We let him go, he'll throttle us in our sleep!"
"You know the way to Mordor?" Frodo asks Gollum. he nods. "You've been there before?" Gollum nods again.
Elemmire takes the rope off him.
"You will lead us to the Black Gate." I say, knowing very well that we are taking a dangerous chance to trust Gollum. but the rings will hold him to his word. At least to some extent.
Gollum begins to talk to himself.
"To the Gate, to the Gate! To the Gate, the masters says. Yes!"
"No! We won't go back. Not there. Not to him. They can't make us. Gollum! Gollum!"
"But we swore to serve the master of the precious!"
He looks at us and screams. Sam glares. then, Gollum runs away. Egola, that is the second stupid Gollum-related decision you have made in the last few hours!
"Hey! Come back now! Come back! There! What did I tell you? He's run off, the old villain. So much for his promises." Sam mutters spitefully.
Much to our surprise, he returns.
"This way hobbitses!" He calls.
What have we gotten ourselves into?
