I rolled up my long thin sleeve and strained to open up the bedroom window in order to push my bare arm outside and determine the temperature.

I sternly nodded "Yep, fucking freezing" I concluded as I pulled my now cool arm back inside and slammed the window shut.

"Libby, Libby" I heard the faint chanting and walked outside to the direction of the noise with curiosity "Libby!" Sophie ecstatically jumped up on her small coloured bed, continuing to cheer my name between each breath. I walked over and allowed her to leap into my arms.

I place a tight kiss onto her soft forehead then cheek and caught her laughter "Why are so hyper this morning?" I questioned.

"Your room. Your room!" she cheered over my question.

I manoeuvred her onto my hip and exited the room towards mine "Where's your sister?" I questioned whilst placed her small body onto my bed.

"Mummy's room. Mummy loves Brooky" she frowned but quickly caught interest in my ringing phone on my bedside table.

"Mummy loves you too" I took it off her and answered "Hello?"

"Hey, Can I catch a ride with you this morning? My mum will drop me at yours"

"Casey, I walk to school" I informed whilst pulling out a cream jumper from my wardrobe.

"Well, can I walk with you then?"

"Just get here before seven" I hung up and passed the phone back to Sophie who was more than willing to take it.

I placed my hair and make-up where it need be before grabbing Sophie and walking down the stairs.

She put her check on my shoulder as Goosebumps surfaced from her small warm breath on my neck. I strolled into the kitchen and spotted mum hurrying around with Brooke in her arms.

"Picking favourites, are we?" I questioned "You know you shouldn't do that; they'll grow up to resent one another"

"Not now Liberty, I'm late and I have to feed and dress these two"

"I dressed myself" Sophie whispered into my neck.

I kissed her forehead "Well done"

I placed Sophie onto the counter "Right well, you can head off to work, I'll take them to school. It's on my way anyways" I offered whilst handing Sophie various fruit and cereal bars from the cabinet above her.

Mum stopped and stared at me in admiration "Thank you, Libby!" she spoke kissing Brooke and Sophie, grabbed her bags and coat before walking towards the door "Oh and Libby?"

"Hmm?"

"I want you to research some after school clubs. It'll be good for you to socialise" she hollered as she walked out.
