12: I Look For My Pack

I run out of the clinic and through the city. I run in front of a truck and stop it. My eyes slowly move up to meet a pair of emeralds. Derek gets out and walks over to me instantly enveloping me in his arms. I wrap my arms around him and feel my heart shatter.

"You were leaving without telling me goodbye?" I ask clearly hurt. He cups my face with his hands.

"I'm getting Cora somewhere safe. I would never leave without telling you goodbye. Ever." Derek replies. Without hesitation, or thinking at all, I crash my lips into his.

"And I will never stop loving you. Ever." I state. Derek smiles at me.

"I love you too TJ, now go save your friends." He strictly orders. I smile widely.

"Yes boss. Stay safe." He nods and we kiss again. He gets back in the car and I salute quickly before running off into the woods.

My feet pound against the ground as the storm worsens. I run upstairs and check Neveah's room.

Went to help save your friends.

I roll my eyes and jump out the window, well flipping out the window and landing on all fours flipping my head back with my eyes glowing. I smirk and take off toward the woods. Lightning strikes in front of me and I jump away from it. I keep running, my feet hitting the ground propelling me faster. I didn't train for cross-country to not run a race. Who am I racing against? Time. My hair whips wildly behind me as the eclipse starts to shade the moon. My eyes glow and I jump over a big ravine. I land and run toward the root cellar. I jump down in as soon as the eclipse goes over.

"It's too heavy!" Neveah yells. My eyes glow brighter and I grab the roof. My eyes continue to get brighter and I start shifting. I hold up the roof and look at all of them.

"RUN!!!!!!!" I roar. They all run out and I drop the roof. I flip out before it can crush me and Isaac catches me. I gaze into his eyes and he holds me.

"I still gotcha T." Isaac states. I hug him and run toward the distillery to meet Scott and Deucalion. I flip inside and growl. Jennifer and Deucalion gape at me.

"It doesn't affect you." Jennifer breathes.

"It makes me stronger." I state before growling. I slash at her and we fight. I knee her in the stomach twice and flip her over my shoulder. I twist her arms behind her back and kick her. She falls and Deucalion runs at her. She slashes his face repeatedly.

"Stop! He doesn't know what you really look like!" Derek yells. Jennifer heals him and he gapes at her appearance. She goes after Derek and Scott pulls me out of the way. Her hand perches at his throat. Derek's eyes glow blue and he smirks. "Your fifteen minutes are up." He breaks her arm and throws her down. She throws mountain ash around her and Scott lets me go. Scott pushes the barrier and it glows indigo.

"You've tried this before Scott, and I don't remember you having much success." Jennifer taunts. Derek wraps an arm around me.

"You can do it Scott." I whisper. He yells and the barrier breaks. I smile and Jennifer gawks at him.

"How'd you do that?" She breathes. Scott makes his eyes glow.

"I'm an alpha now." He states.

"Kill her Scott. Become the alpha you were meant to be, become the kill." Deucalion says advancing forward. Scott shakes his head. "Tabitha." I shake my head and Deucalion growls. "If you won't kill her, I'll do it myself." Deucalion slashes her throat and I take a deep breath.
