5: You Need Me

My feet slide against the floor of the loft. I move slowly and keep my breath steady. I keep my head low and bite my lip to hold everything back. I knock on his door and it opens.

"What's wrong?" The first thing from his mouth. I peak through my hair and he walks me to the pain part of the loft. He sets me on the floor and crouches in front of me. "TJ, we've been over this. Breathe." I flash my head up.

"I tried." I say through clenched fangs, my chest heaving.

"Breathe." He says again. I continue to lose control. "Breathe!" He raises his voice.

"I'm trying!"

"TRY HARDER!" My chest moves faster and faster and I roar in his face. He lets his eyes change to a vibrant red and roars back. I go to claw at his chest and he catches it. I swing again with my other arm and her grabs it. He twists my wrists around and pulls down. I howl and it fades into a scream. I fall against his chest and he holds me.

"Derek?" I ask weakly.

"Yeah."

"Thanks for everything." I breathe before slipping into my own abyss of darkness.

"You need to get them out. You know where it is. It'll take a while to remember, but you know." Erica says.

My vision turns white from my eyelids.

"What happens during the lunar eclipse?" Vernon asks.

"Maybe we'll get stronger." Erica says before standing up and changing her eyes. "I hope it'll make us stronger."

"It'll take away your power. You'll be useless." Carly says smugly.

"How do you know? We've been werewolves longer than you." Erica puts up a fight.

"Deucalion told me."

"Sure he did." Carly pounces and Erica fights back.

My vision skips.

Erica falls to the floor holding her hand out as if she was crying for help. Carly smirks with her eyes glowing red and she walks out.

Carly killed Erica. (I'm having Carly kill her instead for build up in the story line.)
