Never Alone

Prom

Prom was only three days away and I still didn't have my brace off. I had to go to prom with my true love and a foot brace that went just below my knee. It was going to be pretty bad. I had to laugh at myself for being so unprepared for this. Preston was taking me out to pick a dress because I didn't have one. He didn't have his tie yet because we waited to see what color my dress was. When we got to the dress shop he stayed in the food court so I could surprise him with a dress. One of my friends from school, Gabby, worked at the dress shop. She helped me pick a beautiful lavender type color dress that had a teal top and lavender bottem. It had a flowers for the sleeves, it was beautiful. I wish that I could show Preston. Gabby said," You better not show Preston this dress!!!" " don't worry Gabby, I won't!"

When I was done in the dress shop we went to the shoe store I chose a teal pair of flats, seeing as where I couldn't wear anything else. We went to the tie store and I got him a lavender bow tie.

Tonight was prom. I showed my mom my dress and shoes. She looked at me like I wasn't ready to go to prom. My dad walked to the door when I heard the door. SHOOT!!!! " Dad who is it!!!" " Preston!!!" "Ok , be there in a second!!!"

Preston's POV

Maci looked amazing. Her hair was curled and she had on make up to match her beautiful dress. I loved her so much. I gave her a single rose. Her dad was a little bit intimidating. When her came to the door he said to me," You hurt my baby girl I will hurt you." Then he just started laughing. I was a little bit scared. We walked out to the car and I kissed her gently and she kissed back. I had her lip gloss on my lips. I opened her door and lifted her in. I never want our love to die.

Macis POV

It made me laugh that he had chosen to wear the bow tie I got him. When we got there he ran to my side of the truck and he lifted me by the waist and we walked slowly inside the school. I didn't have my crutches anymore so that was good. I was so happy for the rose he gave me. We met Alli and Eli there. Alli had chosen a very pretty dress.Im not saying the color cause my friend is writing from allies POV. On the slow song we danced and had a good time. My head was on his shoulder and it was magical. I loved him and never wanted him to leave. After we got in the car he took me to the top of a mountain. We got out and just stared at the sky. After about 5 minutes he looked me in the eyes and said ," I love, I never want us to be over." He pulled a ring out of his pocket and took me by the hand and said, " With this promise ring, if you should to accept it, I will promise to love and charish you. I will promise to never leave and will always be here for you." With tears in my eyes I put my hand out to him and he slid the ring onto my hand. "I love you so much!!! Thank you, it's beautiful!!!" I hugged him hard and long. We kissed and we just sat there for a second. I started crying and he asked me what was wrong, " nothing, I just love you and never want to lose you."

After he took me home that night, I was so happy. I texted Alli and said,

M: How was prom???

A: perfect, how bout yours???

M: I got a promise ring from Preston.

A: OMIGOODNESS!!!!!

M: love it so much.

A: I would love a ring to!!!

M: want to hang out tomarrow???

A: yep, always

Me and Alli hung out all day. My dad came and got me to tell me Preston was at the door.
