Never Alone

The day

Me Preston went down to the river for a date night. We were going to spend the night by the water. We graduated yesterday. We were having a graduation bonfire with Alli and Eli. I thought tonight was going to be the night he proposed. We got there and hour before Eli and Alli. " Whats wrong." Preston said with a worried tone in his voice. " I thought that something was going to happen but apparently not, that's all." " what was that thing that was going to happen???"  " I thought you were going to propose,I thought about it but now that I think about, I don't think I'm ready to be married, that's all."

Preston's POV.

  This caught me off guard and I told her that I wasn't ready to support a family yet. We both just stared blankly at each other.

Macis POV:

  We just sat there looking at the water. We were ok because we agreed to wait to get married.  Just as Alli and Eli walked down, Preston three me in the water. Eli did the same to Alli. They were laughing so hard that they didn't realize that we came up, soaked, and hugged them. They got soaked. Me and Allie got our pjs and we changed in the woods so they boys didn't see us. I looked down and realized that it was gone. My promise ring was gone!!! I burst into tears and started frantically searching the ground for it. Preston ran over and said" What's, wrong, baby you have to talk to me, we can't help you if you don't tell us what's wrong!" " MY PROMISE RING IS GONE!!!" I stood up and cried into his chest, we all started looking. Then I got on my wet clothes with a flashlight in my mouth and went to the bottom of the lake to see if it was down there, it was hard cause I had to come back up for air every little while. We searched for and hour before we found it. It somehow had gotten " lost" under a rock. When I moved the rock it seemed different.  Preston just smiled and walked towards me. He took the rock and opened it. Inside was a heart locket that had half missing. Inside was pictures of me and Preston. " I was starting to think you thought it was birthday." " nope, I would never forget your 18th birthday." I stood up and hugged him for a long time. He had the other part of the locket as a  key chain. We kissed for a long time. Allie and Eli joined into a group hug. Then I felt 4 more pairs of arms after that. It was Kelly, Matt, Melissa, and Bryler.  They all knew Preston's plan to hide my promise ring and give me the locket. We had fun with the bonfire and roasted s'mores and all teased each other about the first time we met. " well at least me and Preston didn't run from each other for a year, Kelly, Matt!" We were all laughing and having a good time, I missed the days when all of us hung out all the time everyday, we were together again.
