Chapter 15: Having Faith...

A few days passed and Malena, Faith, Ryan along with their lawyer Mr. Fitzgerald walked into the Clinic to conduct the DNA test Colin had requested.

Malena had no choice but to speak to her daughter about the whole ordeal after she had regretfully gone to see Colin. Nothing had been resolved and she doubted they will once the results came back...especially if it resulted in Colin being Faith's biological father.

"Is he going to be here?" Ryan asked the lawyer trying not to sound upset since he was holding Faith tightly.

"Yes, with his lawyer of course. They want to make sure the test is administered properly." he responds making Ryan clench his jaw.

"Does he really think that Malena will sabotage this process? For what?!" Ryan was outraged thinking Colin would think so low of Malena. He obviously didn't know her well enough if he would think she would do that!

"It's not like she would or could change the results. She's known he is the father and she hasn't asked him for a dime this past ten years!" he bellowed trying to keep his cool. He really hated Colin.

"After the other day, I wouldn't put it past him to think that I would change the results so he wouldn't be her father." Malena says from Ryan's side sighing.

Ryan looked down at her putting Faith down. He hated to see his girlfriend upset and stressed. Ever since Colin was told what had happened and him suing her for custody, Malena hadn't slept or eaten well.

"Baby!" he tells her bringing her into a hug. "It doesn't matter what he thinks. We know you wouldn't. He's just pissed that he hadn't known the truth for all of these years and wants to cover the fact that he...!" Ryan stopped mid sentence. He wasn't going to say what was known. Cupping her face with both hands he leaned down and kissed her lips softly then pulled away when he heard a voice say...

"Eww! Daddy!" Faith scrunched her face at the sight of them kissing. Ryan and Malena laughed.

Bending down he picked her up and kissed her cheek. "Does my Princess not want me to kiss Mommy?" he asked playfully.

"Nooo...yeess!" she said shaking her head no then yes.

"Which one is it then?" he asked her chuckling.

"Both...but not in public!" she tells him "It's embarrassing!" she huffs.

"Embarrassing? It's not to us Princess...I'm just showing Mommy how much I love her.That's what adults do to show their love and affection for one another." he tells her putting his free hand around Malena's waist kissing her temple.

"I know daddy...you told me before!" she giggled hugging him around his neck.

Ryan hugged her tightly. He loved Faith so much that he would do anything for her. She had captured his heart from the moment Malena introduced them. Faith was his Princess and he would be damned if he was going to let Colin take that away from him.

Colin, Nessa and his lawyer Mr. Michelson arrived at the clinic on time. Colin has been anticipating this day for the past few days nervously. What if Faith was really his biological daughter? Would he be a good father? Would she accept him and call him dad? Or will she be confused and upset rejecting him completely? It had been nine years that she hadn't known about him!

"You'll be alright baby! I'm here for you!" Nessa's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. He still didn't know why she was there with him. She showed up the night before saying that she was there for moral support. He needed it, so he guessed he was thankful that she had thought about his needs.
