A dedication to Leany because she's well, awesome and cool. Her nickname is decent and cute too!

"Lord Marcus!" I yelled, barging into the room. The first thing I noticed was two young looking twins. I furrowed my eyebrows, checking their appearances. Waves of soft ringlets covered most of the female's face, decorated with several dyed feathers. Her frilly black dress ended lower than the knees, showing a little of her pale skin. They seem to be around 17 to 19 years old, I guessed in my mind.

"Who are you?" The other twin asked, his crimson eyes flashed with anger.

"Kids these days," I said, barely audible. "They don't show respect to the seniors..."

"Don't make me repeat again." He growled, pushing his sister behind him.

Oh, trying to act cool huh? I thought, crossing my arms across my chest. I didn't sign up for a bunch of bratty kids, I came for Marcus! "I'm Lord Marcus' granddaughter." I finally introduced myself. "What about you?" An awkward silence filled the room as he considered of telling me or not.

"I'm Lincoln," he ruffled his soft curls. "My sister here is Liliane."

Fancy names for fancy kids, a voice in the back of my mind commented. For the first time, I agree with it. It was then I noticed that Lincoln wore a complete black tuxedo, completed with a full bloomed white rose on the right. Other than their different outfits, they look almost the same with each other.

"Ah, Artemis!" A disembodied voice greeted from behind. "It seems like you met The Twins."

"Lord Marcus." Lincoln bowed deeply, placing his arm across his chest. Liliane stood frozen on the ground, staring at the floor blankly. She never spoke a single word too. I turned around and said hi instead of being formal. He didn't bother to reply to me. Instead, he grunted and sat on the high back bonded leather chair. He must have guessed my intentions. Or as usual, reading my mind.

I released a weary sigh before plopping on one of the less comfortable chairs. The corners of my lips tugged at the sight of Lincoln's shocked face. His jaws dropped like an anchor yet there're no words coming out from him. I can't see the reason why he's behaving like this, though; there's no need for any formalities between me and my grandfather, after all.

"L-Lord Marcus, the last time I visited you..." He choked out the words, sending daggers towards my direction. "You don't have a granddaughter."

"Lincoln, the last time you visited me was 100 years ago." Damn, this kid looks older than what I thought. Besides, I thought he believed my words when I said that I'm Marcus' granddaughter! Suspicious brat. Rolling my eyes inwardly, I caught a glimpse of Marcus giving a small smile at me.

Damn you and your mind reading skills, I snapped mentally.

The smile disappeared as soon as it came.

"Liliane, how are you feeling today?" He asked, unfazed by my rude remark. Her crimson eyes finally left the floor and made an eye contact with him. She left her brother's side and walked slowly to Lord Marcus. The gap between my eyebrows ceased. Can't she talk or something? When Liliane's beside him, she clasped her hands with his and her eyelids drooped. Her eyes went emotionless as she gazed at their joined hands.

A few minutes passed. Lincoln shuffled his feet around, looking as worried as hell. My guesses were either this little lady was showing something to Lord Marcus or she's doing some telepathy or some shit like that. I threw my hands in the air, frustrated with this twins' arrival. Can't they visit the next day? I need to talk to Marcus!

My patience level grew lower and lower at the sight of their still forms. Just when I thought I was about to explode from impatience, Lord Marcus murmured,"I see. I will make sure all's well."

Seeing my confused look, he exhaled and explained. "Liliane have the gift of seeing the past and future. One of the rare gifts for vampires; she can be one of the greatest allies you need. If you can overlook her personality, of course. Now, before you ask me 'why can't she just tell you instead?' it's because Liliane can only look into the person's future or past accurately if she touches their hands."

"Oh." Was the brilliant response I could come up with.

With that, Liliane removed her hands and went back to her brother's side and clung to his body. An image of a snail stuck on the wall popped in my mind. I snickered at the thought of it.

"Lincoln, please escort Liliane to her room." Lord Marcus instructed without looking at them.

"Yes, my lord." As soon as the door clicked shut behind them. My mouth couldn't stop producing questions.

   "Who are they?"

   "Why are they here?"

"Why are their eye colors different than ours?"

   "When they're-"

"Hold it right there," he interrupted, his wrinkles deepened as he frowned in disapproval. "Act like your age, Artemis."

Pouting, I crossed my arms across the chest and sat there waiting for an answer. A few moment passed. Eventually, I gave up and headed to the door. I paused briefly for any sudden outbursts from him but there's none. A small sigh escaped from my lips when I opened the door and went outside.

Are they going to stay here for the time being? I asked, slumping on the door.

Yes. For a couple of years.

F.M.L. I replied mentally before walking back to my bedroom.

I have the feeling that he might not understand the meaning of FML in short but right now, I don't really care. And what's with 'act like my age?' I'm obviously more mature than those gothic kids! Well, they're much older than you, a voice from the back of mind pointed it out.

"Age doesn't matter," I murmured, rolling my eyes obnoxiously.

Surprisingly, Picasa was still standing at the centre of my bedroom. "So, when does the tutoring start?"

"You finally accept it now, Master? Picasa," she looked up and gave a half-hearted smile.

"Yeah..." I muttered, thinking about the twins. "I might need to use some fighting skills in the future."

"Master, fighting the Twins isn't a good idea," she began, moving towards me. "They're famous for killing their own kind, Picasa."
