Hmm, I think the previous chapter is the longest one yet! It's more than 3k words and the estimated reading time was 17 minutes. I hope it wasn't too boring and I promise action will be coming sooner or later; this story never lacks in that part! Alright so I received some... negative feedback on why the ships are constricted to only one so... I'll add more and if you have any other ships, do tell :D x

Or you know, no ship is sometimes the best ship. Maybe you just want Artemis to continue her goddamn journey and find King Marcus already!
P.S: The poem below is meant to be confusing. My hint would be it's "written" or described by a certain guy in this story. I hope this helps you understand!
Enjoy reading, B. Immortals!

I can't sleep but I do dream of you
Tell me pretty lies and look at me
Please confess your love once more
I don't care if it's a hoax or not
'Cause I have hella feelings for you
I act like I don't care cause I really -
Can't risk any more for what I can't give
All cause my love threatens to spill
You've been lingering with other men
Your heart turns unreadable 'cause -
I'm slipping away and I can't stop
No, we can't stop this downfall
Maybe you're too good for me
I'm only a fool for you but I -
Don't care at all 'cause
I have hella feelings for you

Twisting and tossing the blankets around, I could never seem to settle for a comfortable sleeping position. Alas, I had no choice but give up on the idea of being able to hit the snooze button in my body. I bolted upright then watched the crescent moon hid behind a fluffy white cloud, too embarrassed to face the world. Fennel crawled into the thick sheets before wiggling her way in between my arms. A contented purr emanated from the feline the instant I gave a few scratches behind her ear. I'll bring another ally to create a distraction so you can sneak away with your lover, princess, Cuchulainn's words rang in my mind, warmth beginning to seep into my cheeks.
"He's not my lover!" I exclaimed to no one except the ceiling above me. "It's not like I have any feelings for him... Not really..."
I released a long sigh before flopping back into the comfortable mattress. There's no point in worrying about tomorrow, you know, A mental voice reasoned. You can't do anything about it now, anyway. It struck nothing but the truth. I knew that - yet my entire being was fueled by apprehensive energy. Forcing myself to stay still, I squeezed my eyelids shut in hopes of getting at least a nap. It's going to be a big day... I said inwardly. My worries eventually became mindless disconnected thoughts and finally, darkness enveloped me in a motherly embrace. The final thing I could register in my mind was Fennel's fur brushing against my cheek.
