"I can't believe you sometimes Lui" Delila huffs in frustration her eyes narrowing at the ground as she paces in the small train car that the brand new couple now technically shared. "You always go out and do the stupidest things, and I have to take care of you after words." She fiddles with the travel mug that she had filled with tea before returning to the secret home in the woods. "I don't think you understand how much you fucking worry me when you try and do things like this- here drink this-" she places the travel mug on the folding table in front of Liu, who is sitting patiently for her to finally sit down. He looked like a child waiting for desert his face gleaming in joy and his jittery hands placed in a vice between his knees that couldn't stay still.
He was so happy that she had said 'yes', even though they hadn't had any previous romantic relationships, he knew she was the only person who understood and knew him well enough to be his bride. Another reason is because Delila is, according to Liu, 'the best cuddle buddy' but every time he just traps her until she give in. Even if they had to wait a few years too actually get married neither of them cared as long as they had each other. "-But even when you know you can't do something, you do it anyways and always find the littlest things to make me worry about!" She finishes, sitting in the seat adjacent to Liu her arms crossed over her chest.
Liu, despite having been scolded by her, sits with his cheek resting on his hand, a dopey smile playing on his lips and his gray eyes gleefully gazing at her. She groans, slouching in her seat until only her head is visible above the table. "Stop giving me that look Liu! You're making it hard for me to be mad at you!" she pouts, continuing to glare at him. Liu smiles, pulling the white board over to him and starts to write. "I only said 'I love you', so there's no need to get upset~ ;3" he wrote, holding it up for her to read.
Yes, Delila was upset because Liu out loud said "I love you" to her last night. She was proud he did so, but when he woke up with serious throat pains she began to worry about his well being. He had told her that he was fine and that it used to happen all the time when he was younger, but she refused to stop worrying about him. The worry soon turned into anger and she left the little "house" in the woods to make him some tea at her mom's apartment.
Delila rolls her eyes, continuing to slide down her chair once she is completely under the table she starts grumbling nonsense. Liu shakes his head before joining her under the table, crossing his legs lazily. Delila puffs her cheeks as she refuses to keep eyes contact with him, hiding her face in her knees. Liu cocks his head, trying to force her to look at him, but she only turns the other way. He sighs in defeat, upset that she is worried about him over nothing. All he had done was tell her 'I love you'... well as much as a mute guy could.
Liu's eyes brighten as an idea pops into his head. He smiles before starting to whistle small tunes from old songs they both knew. Delila smiles hiding her face farther into her knees not wanting to let Liu know that he won their stupid squabble. As Liu continues the tunes, she can't help but giggle knowing the song was 'Hey There Delilah' and that he used to tease her constantly about her name.
When the two had first met, they had been sitting in an awkward silence. Since they only just escaped a fight that Liu had started and were hiding behind the school. Delila, being bored out of her mind, was about to leave until Liu pulled out his notebook writing "I have a wicked bird impression" and from there the two grew closer.
With Delila now breaking out of her cocoon of childish anger Liu, threw his arms open with one last whistle of a 3 sylabled tune. The tune was their agreed equivalent to saying 'I love you' since, Liu was forced never to speak again. Grinning Delila crawled over to him trying not to hit her head on the table they still took shelter under. She sits herself in his lap as his arms dramatically closed around her pulling her tightly to his chest. "Luuuu~ stop you're squishing me" she grumbles, yet still unable to wipe the smile off her face. Liu shakes his head as he plants his nose in her hair playfully squeezing her tighter. "Nooo~ stop you rabid mute boy!" Delila struggles to release her hands that are trapped against his chest, as she tried to tickle him in a final attempt to escape his rouge cuddle session.
With every attempt at escape foiled she finally huffs giving in to his rough cuddles. "I hate you," she jokingly pouts as Liu just shakes his head, messing up her hair in the process, as if saying "I know you don't". Delila chuckles nuzzling herself into his chest "Just drink your fucking tea before you make your throat worse." Liu nods reaching to grab the travel mug off the table and taking a sip of the warm liquid.
Delila waits for his response worriedly, seeing as she made it for him specifically and wanted him to like it. After a few seconds he forms an 'x' with his fingers as if rejecting the tea. "What?! You could at least be a little kinder when you judge my cooking!" She whines tears of embarrassment in her eyes as she hid herself in his chest. Liu smiles writing on his board "I was kidding Delila, I love it don't worry so much ♥︎" After she reads the note he kisses her head drinking more of the tea she had made for him. Which, for the record, was really good tea.
Knowing he had upset his delicate-hearted Delila, Liu rubs small shapes on her hips as an effort of apology. Delila hums in delight knowing she can't NOT forgive him, she reaches down to hold his hand and wrapping his arm around her. Liu smiles, not only because he was forgiven by his beautiful Delila, but because he could feel the ring on her finger that bound them together tighter than any words ever could.
