I didn't go to class today.
Maybe it was the fact that I wanted to relax for a while and spend time with myself while spongebob was playing on TV, or because I'm too embarrased about what happened yesterday with the whole cafeteria fiasco, or that my headaches were getting more frequent and I needed rest.
Or maybe I was hiding from a certain someone.
I already drank my after lunch pills, and another set for my headache. It's a miracle I haven't overdosed yet.
Lindsay got the day off so Amy was the one who took care of me throughout the day.
My head got a little better and I asked Amy if she could accompany me to the Lounge Room, but she said Dr. Vivaldi wants to see me.
Maybe he's finally going to ask me about the murder.
I waited patiently before I heard a knock on the door.
"Good to see you, Miss Greyson. I brought someone with me."
I looked at the person standing behind me.
He was tall and thin. Despite his smiling face, there was something about him that makes you shiver in fear the second you lay your eyes on him.
"This is Dr. Gideon. He's a special pyschiatrist that deals with severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, and dementia. He heard about your problem and how you're coping with it so he would like to examine you today, since you're free."
"Okay." I said.
"I'll leave you two to get acquainted for a while. I need to talk to someone first." Dr. Vivaldi said before closing the door behind him.
"Hi, Miss Greyson. Once again, I'm Dr. Gideon. I want to speak to you for a while." His smile was pleasant, but there was something off about him, something wrong.
"Hi." I said.
"So, how are you handling life here? I heard you're still getting hallucinations, am I right?"
I should've said no, since they'll probably make me stay here longer and it'll be torture.
I should've. But I didn't.
"Yes." I mumbled.
"Okay. Don't worry. Just a little more and you'll be good as new. We can send you home if the treatment works."
I froze. I could feel my heart pounding. Just a little more, and I'll be free.
"To start it up, I would like you to drink this." Dr. Gideon gave me a cup filled with some sort of liquid.
"What's this?" I asked curiously as I grabbed it.
"Just some medicine. I just want to test it on you to see what kind of treatment is suitable, based on your reaction to this." He pointed at the cup. "Drink up."
I had no qualms since I knew this was the only way to get out of this place. It tasted like bile and antibiotics, as I expected. I grabbed a cup filled with water and downed on it after finishing the medicine.
"Good, good. We will be monitoring you for a couple of days. Don't worry, it won't affect your classes or free time. We'll just examine you far away and call you when we learn what treatment suits you." He gave me a smile that was meant to be calming, but it only made me shiver in fear.
After the encounter with Dr. Gideon, I went back to my room. I still had a lot of time on my hands, so I decided to keep myself locked up for a while.
