My Life As Katniss

Introduction

I walk into the sunlight and feel a rush of hunger. The Hunger Games are starting today and it just so happens that my sister was pulled from the reaping ball. My name is Katniss Everdeen, and my best friend's name is Gale. We go hunting together in the woods all the time. We go under the fence and luckily, the peacekeepers haven't caught us yet because it's actually illegal.

I live in Distict 12 and we specialize in coal mining. There was a District 13, but the Capitol destoyed which started the Dark Days. 

And that's what started the annual Hunger Games.
