Mortem Lapis Dagger

I stood there frozen in fear. The vampire king is one of the most powerful vampires in the world.

6 feet of muscular raw power.

Nothing I couldn't handle. I was about to shift until I saw what was behind him.

An army of around 150 of the most powerful vampires ever. Most likely half of them were royals, the other half  were skilled trained vamps and powerful nonetheless.

I knew I there was a slim chance of me making it out alive. But I didn't care, I am the hybrid, born to fight. I will not back down, not now, not ever.

I shifted into my hybrid form and got ready to attack. I was about to pounce until I saw the king pull out a shiny metal object, ha, that won't harm me!Who does he think he is! It's just a stupid sliver knife...

Wait I recognize that object... OH NO! That is the 'Mortem lapis Dagger' it's latin for death stone dagger.

When Athena was training and teaching me she told me the tale of the only thing that could wound a hybrid. The Mortem Lapis dagger was created by the moon goddesses evil sister Soror Malum. She planed on killing one of the first hybrids ever because she didn't like the imbalance between species. Soror believed that werewolf's and vampires should stay separate. The moon goddess was aware of this and didn't like it, by harnessing the Mortem Lapis dagger she managed to kill Soror.

But not before Soror could cast a spell on the dagger. That it should only harm hybrids and destroy them slowly. She then sent it to hiding somewhere very secret and dangerous.

How in the world did he manage to find it.

I started to back up I could hear my wolf and vampire whimpering. Even though they merged together they were still separate in my mind.

The king smirked evilly.

"Oh, I see you recognize my pretty little dagger... Do you like it?"

I let out a fierce growl.

"Aw, such a pity, little puppy here doesn't like my pretty little dagger... Hmmm that's upsetting."

If looks could kill he'd be 6 ft under.

I got into fighting position, preparing to attack.

"Come with me little hybrid. And I won't stab you."

I mind linked him. Another thing I can do is mind link with anyone, even humans.

'I will never come with you. I' D RATHER DIE'

"Stupid choice mutt"

The king ran at me full speed. I attacked using all my force.

It all happened so fast.

I lunged at his throat but he moved quickly and instead caught his shoulder almost tearing his arm off of his body. But before I could make him part with his precious limb I felt a sharp pain on my side.

The knife!

It felt like a burning fire all throughout my body the pain was unbearable. He quickly pulled out the knife from my side and cradled his half torn of limb. Even with his royal vampire healing he won't heal that soon. I quickly shifted back to human form and got up ready to finish him.

"I'll kill you!"

He smirked at me from his bleeding mess.

Then I felt it. My brain felt like it was being stabbed with blunt knifes. Then squeezed like an orange.

I let out an ear pricing scream, crumbling to the ground.

'Evalina what's happening?' I asked through screams.

It pained me hearing her in so much pain

'Ivy what's happening to us?'

'The knife.' Was all she could make out.

I couldn't take it anymore! My eyes lolled back in to my head and I passed out.

Last thing I heard before I passed out was the faint laugh of the king

"Not so immune now, are you?"
