Chapter One: Welcome

N.M: Nana come down stairs hurry up you dont wanna be late for your first day at a new school come on.
Which is what my mom yelled from the kitchen.
I sighed deeply and I woke up.
I am gonna be a new student at West Brook High School.
I had to move from my school at my old city because my mom thought it would be better for me and her due to what happened to my father.
She told me he died but I always felt like she was lying because if he died we wouldve went to his funeral but I have to trust her.
He died when I was 10 I am 17 now on my 3rd year of high school, well now I am.
But I am Nakeatah I have to go get ready see y'all in a few bye.

~a few minutes later~

I decided to ware ripped skinny jeans my grey and white ugs and a gray shirt that said Paris on the front.
I walked downstairs and saw my breakfast on the table.
By the way just if you were wondering my mom calls me Nana because it is easier to say so just know if you see nana (nah-nah) anywhere in the story they are referring to me.

Nana: Hey mom.

N.M: Hey love hurry up and eat I dont want either of us to be late.

Nana: Then ma go to work and I will walk.

N.M: Are you sure hunny it is kinda a long walk.

Nana: I got time I will be fine go new job you cant be late.

N.M: Ok hunny see you later.
She said as she grabbed her keys purse and kissed me on the forhead as she got closer to the door she said.

N.M: I will be home around 7:30 be safe love you bye.
And with that she closed the door and was gone.
I put my plate in the sink brushed my teeth again took a piece of gum from my moms room grabbed my bag and my phone and made my way out.

~15 minutes later~

Finally I made it to school and I walked to the main office and signed in and went to my homeroom.
I got to room 207 and gave the teacher my pass and sat in the back of the class and I saw this boy who looked really familiar. He had an afro and there were 3 other boys with him.
One with two braids another with a blonde and black mohawk and the last with short and a little nappy curled hair.
It didnt take long for me to realize that I was in the presence of Mindless Behavior.
I quickly and quietly squeeled to my self and shook my legs but then went back to normal.
I kept looking at Princeton he is the cutest in the group well in my opinion he is.
I took out a notebook from my backpack and I started to sketch a picture of him from his perfectly lined up chin to the last strand of his afro.
I always wanted to meet him but never thought I would get the chance but now I do so I will make the best of it.
I finished my sketch and I got up to get a tissue I sit right next to prince and I left my notebook open.
As I was walkin ta my seat I saw prince lookin at my notebook.
I quickly closed it and said.

Nana: Can I help you.
He scoffed and said.

Princeton: Did I ask fa ya help no ok then look that way the boards up front.
I rolled my eyes but then I turned my head and smiled because I had a conversation with my super star crush.
It didnt go the way I wanted to but oh well life aint a dream and everything dont come true.
The geometry teacher walked in and handed out a quiz.
SHIT already how the hell is it the first day of school and this bitch already finna give us a quiz what the hell.

Teacher: Ok you all have 10 minutes to complete your quiz.
This quiz has 20 questions 19 of which multiple choice and 1 short answer question.
Your test begins now no talking good luck.
We all began our quizzes I am really good at math so I finished within 3 minutes.
That is only because I started while he was talking.
I didnt have enough patience to wait for him to stop talking.
I raised my hand as I wrote the last thing.

Teacher: Finished already Ms.Bleu? (Pronounce it blue but it is spelt bleu)

Nana: Yes I am finished.

Princeton: *cough* nerd alert *cough*
Everyone in the class laughed what an amazing first day of school.

Teacher: Mr.Perez your comment was not needed do you wanna go talk to the principle?

Prince: Nah b chill wit that I aint trynna start the new school year lie dat.

Teacher: Amazing so keep your mouth shut and finish your test.
He walked up to me with a stamp that had A+ on it he quickly scanned my test and then stamped it.
A+ on my first day yes!
Princeton gave Mr.Cine (seen)
His test and got the same grade as me.

Nana: Wait so you call me a nerd but yet you get the same grade as me.

Prince: Listen ma there a difference between bein smart and bein a nerd I am smart but not a nerd.
He leaned closer to me.
Besides I am bad at everything else I am good at math but not other school stuff.
I am street smart not school smart.
He said as he bit his lip and looked me up and down then winked at me.
I smiled at him and turned around but I felt like I was bein looked at and I was.
Roc Royal was giving me an evil smirk and then looked away as if he was planning something.
A chill went down my spine.
