Thanks for making me feel bad.
I left the theatre with Jason, talking about the movie and arguing about if Harry really did die or not. I said he did but he said he was just knocked out.
“The Avada Kedavra curse can’t knock you out,” I said. “It’s called the Killing Curse for a reason.”
“Then why’d Harry wake up afterwards?” Jason asked.
“Because the Voldemort part of him died, duh!” I said.
“So Harry was knocked out,” Jason said.
“No!” I exclaimed. “He died!”
“But you said the Voldemort part in him died.”
“It did, but that was after Harry died and then chose to be revived. You heard what Dumbledore said. That thing under the bench was a part of Voldemort sent to die.”
We kept on arguing until I bumped into someone.
“Sorry,” I said, my voice trailing off as I saw who I’d bumped into.
“Having fun?” he asked.
I looked up at him and turned slowly to Jason.
“Dude,” I said. “we’ve got to run!” I grabbed his arm and ran to the theatre, taking a big leap and landing on the roof.
“Whoa, whoa,” Jason said, looking over the roof. “Who was that guy and why are we running?”
“That was Jacob,” I said. “He’s a werewolf, so sorry for his smell. We’re running because I’m not supposed to be out of the house because I might drink human blood.” I looked over the roof and saw that Jacob had gone. “Okay, we should go,” I said.
“Go where?” Edward’s voice said behind me.
I stumbled from my careful perch and fell from the roof. Thankfully, I landed on my feet. But, on the bad side, Emmett, Jasper and Carlisle were crowded around me. I looked up and saw Edward and Jacob cornering Jason.
Looking back at the other three, I gave a smile and a short, nervous laugh.
“Hi,” I said, smiling. “How’s your night?”
“Alex,” Carlisle said dangerously. I morphed into a flea and flew away. Sadly, Edward caught me by my wing (vampire eyes!) and kept me struggling until I turned back into me in which he was holding me by my collar.
“Dang it,” I said.

I sat in the living room, feeling ashamed as Carlisle, Edward and Jacob lectured me about how dangerous and stupid I had been going to the theatre when they said not to. Jason sat at the other end of the couch, watching them.
“What were you thinking, going to the theatre, a place where people were everywhere?!” Edward growled.
“I - I was thinking it’d be empty,” I said.
“Why would it be empty?” Jacob asked. I opened my mouth, but no sound came out. Should I tell them about the deal between Jason and I?
“That was very, very irresponsible,” Carlisle said for the millionth time. “Such a stupid, irresponsible, dangerous thing. You could have killed someone, Alex!”
“What’s going on?” Bella, Alice, Rosalie, Esmee, and Renesmee walked into the room.
“That - that leech went with some other guy to a theatre that had a bunch of people in it!” Jacob said.
“Hey!” Jason and I cried, standing up and glaring at Jacob.
“Don’t you know it’s rude to call someone a leech, mutt?” I snapped.
“That’s what you are, parasite,” Jacob shot back.
“Filthy animal,” I hissed.
“Stop it,” Carlisle snapped, stepping in between us. He looked down at me. “Alex,” he said. “You’re grounded.”
“What?!” I sputtered. “But - you’re not even my parent! You can’t do that!”
“I’m technically your guardian,” he retorted.
I stared at him. Jacob smirked at me.
“Oh, shut up, dog,” I snapped at Jacob. His smirk turned into a glare.
“At least I didn’t endanger the lives of other people for my own gain,” he said. I growled at him, but Carlisle kept me from attacking the mutt.
“Just go upstairs,” he said.
“Wait,” Jason said. “It’s my fault, sir. I persuaded Alex to come with me even though I’m a newborn as well.”
All attention was drawn away from me. Jacob glared at Jason.
“Go upstairs, Alex,” Edward said. I kept from rolling my eyes and went upstairs, giving Jason an encouraging glance.
Upstairs I heard the boys exploding at Jason. I felt really bad. It’s my fault we’re in trouble. If I had said no and convinced him to not go, then we wouldn’t be right here.
I walked into my room and closed the door, locking it. I didn’t want anyone to be barging into my room, but they’d probably just bust the door down or break the knob. Why oh why can’t I have my human abilities now? I want to sleep this all away!
I laid down on my bed and buried my face in my pillow. I’ll just stay up here all night, then.
