She immediately turned around before deciding to randomly strike, and blinked in surprise at the tall boy before her, wearing an old shirt and a pair of worn gray sweatpants, which made his legs seem even longer than they normally were. She blinked again as her brain tried to assess what had just happened.

"What-

"You have no idea" he interrupted "how much trouble you've caused me." he finished, albeit angry.

She stared at him, her face stoic. "I'm not interested in your problems." she coldly said, and yanked her wrist away.

He growled at her. "I've never felt so humiliated in my life" he grumbled out.

She smirked at this. "Don't like the taste of your own medicine?" she cunningly teased.

His eyes snapped back towards her. "Do you realize who you're talking to?" he grit out. "Do you realize that if I wanted to, I could tell my parents about this, and you'd be in serious trouble?" he threatened.

At first she felt like she had been cornered. Then she thought about the circumstances and smirked. She could turn his own over-inflated ego against him.

"You want to, but you won't" she smugly replied.

He let out a snort,  slightly amused at her sudden confidence. "And you think I wont?"

"Yeah, you won't" she assured. "There's no way you're gonna let anyone know how a girl punched you in the face. How would you be able say it to anyone with a straight face?" she challenged.

His face twitched, and while his mouth opened, nothing came out. He was rendered speechless. It felt so good.

He groaned in frustration and exhaled loudly, as if he had nothing else to say. She suddenly felt impatient.

"So what, you just jumped over to my fence just to complain at me for making a scratch on your pretty little face?" she flatly stated, and ignored the dark look coming from him. "Besides, I thought you made it more than clear earlier that you didn't want to talk with me."

"You have no idea how embarassing it is to walk around with this stupid thing on my face" he snapped, ignoring her previous statements, and hastily pointed at the bandage. "I had to tell my mother that it was an accident in practice. I had to cover up the mess you did."

She stared at him incredulously. This guy had some nerve. "The mess I did? did you forget the things you said?" she cited.

"I never would have said those words to you if you never would have head butted into what wasn't your problem!" he nearly yelled out, and she glared at him.

"Shut up and lower your voice" she hissed. "This isn't the best place to be bitching about a non-important problem."

"Whatever. Fix the damn room yourself. I don't care."

It took her a second to realize what he was talking about. She frowned at the dirty look he shot her and defiantly crossed her arms.

"So what was the point of trespassing into my yard if you're just going to say something stupid? Do you realize you're in no position to say that?"

His brow twitched. "I'm in no position?? Have you lost your mind??" he angrily asserted.

She gave him a smug face. "I'll tell Ms. Capello that you left forty-five minutes early today. I'm sure she'll be pleased to hear that."

She watched his posture go rigid and mentally high fived herself for managing to corner him. His eyes narrowed. "You wouldn't dare." he grit out, his tone clearly holding a vicious threat.

Her smug face broke out into a sly smile. "I would. And I'm sure that once the principal finds this out, my suspension would be greatly lifted. Can't say the same about you, though."

she literally felt the urge to do a somersault as she saw his snobby, normally aloof expression actually faltered at her words.

His lack of insults had been replaced by an angry cat-like glare that let her know she had won, once again.

She inwardly snickered. At least he was smart enough to acknowledge what was convenient for his sake. He was just as worried as she was in terms of academics.

She looked at the silently fuming boy before her, who slowly began to turn around and head towards the fence.

And then it hit her.

He assumed that she feared him, since she hadn't stopped him from leaving the classroom earlier. So he decided to jump over to her fence and try to intimidate her.

But he didn't think for one second that she wasn't going to fall for his threat and tell their counselor?

Forget school smarts. He really was stupid.

Then an idea surged in her head. And once again, she was able to use his own stupidity in her favor.

"I won't tell the counselor, or anyone else, if you start cooperating."
