I was confused about why they started laughing once they saw me. I've gotten yelled at for looking "like a danger to this town" (yes, someone said that.) but I've never had a group of people just laugh at me.

"What?" I asked "What do you want?"

"What's the baby's name?" A girl giggled. Baby? Alright, these people are probably on drugs.

"I don't know, what's your name? I wouldn't want to name a baby after someone stupid." Alright, I have anger issues. Any normal for person would've just walked off, why am I so dumb?

"Oh Aubrey, you haven't heard?" Another girl laughed. What... What's with them and laughing?

I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms. "Have we met before..?"

"The last time we heard about you, you got laid and couldn't stop sleepin' around town." He laughed. I don't recognize these people, though... "You're a pregnant whore, at least, people say you are."

"Listen here, you've got the wrong Aubrey." I sighed "I don't know you, and I haven't slept with anyone." I began to continue walking, but there was something about this conversation I needed to know.

"Pretty sure you slept with Dallas Winston. Pretty much, only strippers and whores tend to do that." A girl spoke up.

"Where'd you here that?" I asked

"Around." She said "You got a cigarette?"

"For a price." I held out my box in front of her. "Tell me, who told you?"

The girl looked at everyone else, then back at me. She held out her hand and said, "Dylan, whatever his last name is."

I tossed her two sticks and sighed. Yeah, of course it would be Dylan. But how did he know? I never told anybody... What did Dal say?

"Truth is," A guy held my arm "Dylan didn't tell us nothing."

I looked at him, because I didn't know what to say........ What?!

"We just tricked the fact you slept with Dallas out of you." He sighed "Just... Give us your pack of cigs and we won't tell him."

"If I hear you do," I threw the pack at him. "I have some pretty tough friends." I finally continued walking the short way to my Dad's house.

Being in front of this guy's door was so weird to me. This is the guy who left my family. Really, I've been passing this house all my life without knowing he lived here. I knocked the door and put my hands in the pockets of my jacket.

"Uh... Hello?" A teenaged boy who looked about my age or younger answered the door.

"Hey..." I awkwardly said. "I'm trying to see... Robert Monroe?"

"DAAAD!" The boy yelled "SOMEBODY'S HERE FOR YOU!"

Dad? So, I guess he did start a new family. It's scary how old this kid is, because it shows how fast he went and had another kid.

"Dolores?" A man, who I didn't know, asked. I'm pretty sure he is who he says he is. I've seen pictures of him with my mom.

"Yeah." I said. That kid was still watching us. I think he's just as confused as I am.

"So... What finally brings you here?" Robert asked.

"My friend, the one in the paper who saved those kids, died." I shivered at the thought of Johnny dying. It wasn't what I wanted to think about, let alone talk about.
